[Bug 42970] New: Add Origin, Uplay and Battle.net as Licence type
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org May 9, 2017

May 9, 2017

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42970 Bug ID: 42970 Summary: Add Origin, Uplay and Battle.net as Licence type Product: WineHQ Apps Database Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: appdb-unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: faalagorn(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Similar to how "Steam" and "GOG" are listed as a licence type, other major distribution platform could use adding. For example for Dragon Age Inquisition ( https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=34793 ) Origin is currently listed as a "Version" instead "Licence", at the place where it should allow list each subsequent patch (in case only one works), similar how My Summer Car does ( https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=17542 ). With the not so old announcement highlighting the support for Origin, Uplay and Battle.net platform ( https://www.wine-staging.com/news/2017-01-25-blog-vulkan-dx11.html ) it seems logical to add them along "Steam" and "GOG" for easier distinguish between actual game version vs distribution platform (which is I believe why the Steam and GOG licences exist in the first place). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 42973] New: Retina Mode gets automatically disabled if the screen resolution changes
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org May 8, 2017

May 8, 2017

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42973 Bug ID: 42973 Summary: Retina Mode gets automatically disabled if the screen resolution changes Product: Wine Version: unspecified Hardware: x86 OS: Mac OS X Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: winemac.drv Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: Puto(a)puto.me Created attachment 58108 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=58108 Before the resolution changes When RetinaMode is enabled, any change in screen resolution immediately turns it off for the rest of the Wine session. This happens independently of the target or source resolutions. This is particularly annoying when using Remote Desktop solutions such as TeamViewer. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 42968] New: Selected Wine version in Preferences is not shown
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org May 8, 2017

May 8, 2017

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42968 Bug ID: 42968 Summary: Selected Wine version in Preferences is not shown Product: WineHQ Apps Database Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: appdb-unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: faalagorn(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- When choosing a Wine version in preferences and clicking "Save Preferences" button in https://appdb.winehq.org/preferences.php the selected version still appears blank. Not sure if the actual version value is being remembered and if it's still used somewhere, so I have no way to confirm if it's being set and it's only visual issue or not. Also, while at it, it may be worth pointing out that the version ordering for 2.0.1 and 1.8.7 is out of place. They are thrown in between the current 2.2-2.7 versions. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 42969] New: Spotted errors in "Distributions" list; 1st page
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org May 7, 2017

May 7, 2017

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42969 Bug ID: 42969 Summary: Spotted errors in "Distributions" list; 1st page Product: WineHQ Apps Database Version: unspecified Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: appdb-unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: faalagorn(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Distribution list is what it seems at the first glance far from being perfect, but since it can be easily browsable by clicking the "Distribution" link in the left menu on AppHQ, I thought I'll give a try listing the most blatant errors on just the first page I spotted. I opted out to make just a one bug entry, to avoid cluttering with too much new bugs for each spotted mistake. I'd be glad helping to clean it even more if there's a need, though for that it would be really handy to know someone I could consult the changes with and fix them in a timely manner. If there's a way though, just guide me where's the best place to do so! - "1.0.3.0" - someone mistakenly filled distribtuion with application version, it's not a Linux distro. - "Antegros 32 bit" and "Antergos 64bit" - missing space. Also the 64-bit link is http: instead https: - "Aptosid 32bit" URL is lacking the http: part altogether, resulting in a dead link - "Arch Linux" and "Arch Linux x86_64" point to http://wiki.winehq.org/Arch_Linux instead an official website like other distro do - which funny enough is a dead link. Also, I have a feeling that the omission of any 32-bit indication in Arch Linux might lead to some accidentally choosing it on 64-bit distros, which may be more troubling as the 32-bit support is being phased out (and totally dropping at the end of 2017). Again, it's only the first glance on the first page. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to fix the issues myself, but I believe it should be easy for AppDB Admin. There are related bug reports that mention improving adding on distribution, so it's something to look in the future. In the meantime, I'd be glad with Arch and Antergos changes, as they are trending as a rolling release gaming OS nowadays, and coincidentally the ones I use myself :) -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
