This consistent "binary content" does not happen right now. There is also bug 41342. The game previously rendered normally, at least without visible artifacts. Now there are visual artifacts in the form of random polygons popping from the horizon to the camera. CSMT doesn't affect it either. I'm using Arch Linux, an NVidia GPU with proprietary drivers. Changing to windowed mode from within the game works fine. Doesn't work on 3.5-devel (ubuntu) and 3.5 staging (gentoo). If I'm clicking for example on File (a submenu opens) and clicking somewhere at the Blizzard logo (to close the submenu) there will be still a white background on the menu entry (File).
