Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Altium Designer. 2. Close floating window (Storage, etc.) which will likely trigger an error (probably bug #39765 which I'll verify later) 3. At MyAccount/License Management page click "Sign in" link 4. At "Account Sign In" dialog (which can get stuck behind main window) enter anything for user name and password, check the "I have read and understand the warning" privacy invasion checkbox, then the "Sign in" button. Expected behavior: Dialog box closes then reappears a moment later when sign-in fails. Wine 3.19-3.21 behavior: Dialog closes then an "Out of memory" error dialog is displayed. Installation: 1. Download the offline installer from the URL (3.6GB). Extract to subdirectory. 2. winetricks -q corefonts dotnet461 mdac28 win7 I used winetricks 20180815-next. Verified NET Runtimes with netfx_setupverifier-20180517.exe. Manually triggered GAC rebuild via ngen.exe since winetricks didn't seem to do so and it cluttered up the logs when it randomly started on its own. 3. Run the Altium installer. To save time deselect the optional items. Other: There's a nuisance rundll32.exe error at start-up reporting "This application could not be started". To make sure that the bug happens make sure to swirl it around a couple of times. ( A Swirly if you will ) Attached I also noticed this when running winamp manually at startup. This may be related. but then I move winamp and it disappears I don't get any more error messages. So I'm not sure. I have some interessting results. Maybe this is fixable? I'm sure the problem sits in the GDIPlus DLL Short summary: builtin: some menus lags really hard (very low framerate, 2~3 + input lag), all textures are visible native: normal framerate in all menus, but some missing textures (plain white spot where the textures should be) builtin (Wine) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Probably the reason for the heavy lag? Only using builtin gdiplus. fixme:wincodecs:JpegDecoder_Frame_CopyPalette (0x...,0x...): stub fixme:gdiplus:GdipCreateBitmapFromGdiDib (0x2002a60, 0x6b10000, 0x6578c8) - partially implemented Basically a stub and a partially implemented function. Maybe the game requires a better GdipCreateBitmapFromGdiDib implementation or the JpegDecoder_Frame_CopyPalette function. I don't know. NOTE: The JpegDecoder_Frame_CopyPalette fixme doesn't appear with the native gdiplus. native (Windows) - winetricks gdiplus ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No lag there, but now some textures are missing. Instead of the texture which should be there, there is only a plain white spot. The 'generated' texture files are empty files (0 byte). You can verify this by youself easily: the cache folder is in the game folder. ($GAME/cache) This is the fixme which is spammed in the terminal when using the native gdiplus, installed using winetricks. fixme:bitmap:SetBitmapBits Unhandled partial pixel The other 2 fixmes from the builtin version are completely gone. Far Cry 4 (which requires at least a 64-bit Windows 7 prefix) fails to call a bash script on launch: Can't recognise 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Far Cry 4\Support\Software\GEFirewall.bat /silent' as an internal or external command, or batch script. Sure enough, calling it manually (even without the /silent argument) results in the same error: $ wine cmd.exe /c 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Far Cry 4\Support\Software\GEFirewall.bat' Can't recognise 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Far Cry 4\Support\Software\GEFirewall.bat' as an internal or external command, or batch script. It will then report a "400" error in a messagebox. The program sends a SOAP request to the on4u3.buhl.de server which is not accepted by the server (likely not validating against a stylesheet). I debugged this and using native MSXML3 it works, just our msxml3 will not.
