When opening a menu of the developer studio, the menu items with arrows (that open submenus) are not displayed correctly. The triangular arrows on the right end will stick out of the menu popdown area. I'm not sure if they just stick out to the end of the "shadow" (3d effect) around the popdown, or sometimes more. Was working flawlessly on Wine 2.22. Immediately on update to 3.0 rc1 it reliable crashes on startup. System is standard Wine with extra dlls via Winetricks (cmd.exe, ffdshow, mfc42, vb6run, vc6run, vc6runsp6, wsh57). All needed to get various programs running. Program is portable version of UK's Kalender.exe from http://www.ukrebs-software.de/download/kalender/Kalender_Portable.zip Present on this machine is one of the 2.5.x series (not sure which and cannot start the program to check) Steps to reproduce: Start running the program either 1. from PSMenu portable program launcher (itself install on Wine), OR 2. right click the Kalender.exe file in Thunar and select "Open wwith Wine Windows Program Loader" Actual Result: Program fails to start, crash report displayed. Expected Result: Program to work without flaw (as on Wine 2.22) Bug first encountered: with Wine 3.0rc1 Other systems: Program runs exactly as expected on Wine 2.22 and below, and on Windows 98SE to Windows XP Pro. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. When the dialog opens, it shows the files in some directory in the right pane, and a tree view of the directory hierarchy in the left pane. The tree view shows Favorites and Desktop (which is expanded to show My Computer, My Documents, Trash, /). If you then click on any of the + or - symbols in the tree view, the view in the right pane jumps to Favorites. For example, click the + next to My Computer and the view on the right changes to Favorites (which may be empty). The directory shown in the right pane should probably not change when the user clicks a + or - symbol in the left pane. WinUAE is one program which uses that type of file dialog. To show the problem, download and run the WinUAE installer, check the box to run the program at the end. Before installing the .NET Framework, I removed wine-mono. I got the following error message when I tried to run the above program: Hello world! Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at System.Diagnostics.DiagnosticsConfiguration.Initialize() at System.Diagnostics.DiagnosticsConfiguration.get_IndentSize() at System.Diagnostics.TraceInternal.InitializeSettings() at System.Diagnostics.TraceInternal.WriteLine(String message) at ConsoleApplication3.Program.Main(String[] args) wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x1aa460fd (thread 0009), starting debugger... The problem is with the line "Debug.WriteLine(...)". However, the same application compiled with 32-bit works well. I found out that I got the similar error at other positions when I ran our in-house 64-bit .NET program, even if I don't use Debug.WriteLine(...), so I created the hello-world program to reproduce it.
