At least on my Fedora 16, gcc version 4.6.3 20120306 (Red Hat 4.6.3-2) still misaligned context buffers, causing segfault. I added "-mpreferred-stack-boundary=2" to CFLAGS to force gcc to realign the stack in function prolog. [Bug 31655] New: SlingPlayer 1.5 fails to show video if Wine is upgraded

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31655 Bug #: 31655 Summary: SlingPlayer 1.5 fails to show video if Wine is upgraded Product: Wine Version: 1.5.12 Platform: x86-64 URL: http://download.slingmedia.com/player/pc/SlingPlayer-S etup-EU-1.5.1.343.exe OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: kennybobs(a)o2.co.uk Classification: Unclassified Created attachment 41616 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=41616 Wine 1.5.6 console output SlingPlayer 1.5 fails to show video if Wine is upgraded. Sound works fine. I have tested this over and over and it is the act of upgrading Wine that appears to be causing the problem. Native quartz, qcap and gdiplus needed to get this far. Tested: 1.4.1 --> 1.5.6 1.5.6 --> 1.5.12 1.5.12 --> wine-1.5.12-157-gbdf9a9f Following the upgrade there is some new output in the console: err:ddraw:ddraw7_QueryInterface (0x1ee6f8)->({aca12120-3356-11d1-8fcf-00c04fc29b4e}, 0x16d554): No interface found And this line disappears: err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {7d8aa343-6e63-4663-be90-6b80f66540a3} not registered 7d8aa343-6e63-4663-be90-6b80f66540a3 is related to quartz.dll (http://mikolajapp.appspot.com/uuid/query?q={7d8aa343-6e63-4663-be90-6b80f66…) and this somehow becomes registered during the transition, and stops video from being shown in the SlingPlayer. by WineHQ Bugzilla Aug. 22, 2026

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49939 Bug ID: 49939 Summary: Clive Barker's Jericho Demo claims not enough room on C: (NtMapViewOfSection returns STATUS_NOMEMORY) Product: Wine Version: 5.18 Hardware: x86-64 URL: https://www.gamepressure.com/download.asp?ID=17454 OS: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: gijsvrm(a)gmail.com Blocks: 34747 Distribution: ArchLinux Created attachment 68320 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=68320 logs I wanted to retest bug 34747, but the demo won't install. The last test in that bug is from the 1.9 era and seems to imply that the demo used to install. I also checked on Windows 10 and it installs fine there. For multiple reasons bisecting this might be challenging. Attached is an archive containing +relay,+virtual logs from both vanilla wine and wine-staging (The ForceBottomUpAlloc patchset changes/adds tracing). I tried in both a 64bit and 32bit prefix, same result. Logs are from a 32bit prefix. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 46856] New: Exact Audio Copy: Unhandled exception at EACWnd2.264 -> INDEX-RANGE
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Aug. 22, 2026

Aug. 22, 2026

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46856 Bug ID: 46856 Summary: Exact Audio Copy: Unhandled exception at EACWnd2.264 -> INDEX-RANGE Product: Wine Version: 4.3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: newbie13xd(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Greetings! Sometimes, not always, when I close a window in Exact Audio Copy (which I hereafter will refer to as EAC) EAC throws an error message to me with the title "Unhandled Exception" and body "at EACWnd2.264 -> INDEX-RANGE. Most recently this occurred after I had finished ripping a CD and pressed OK on the window where it shows you how well the ripping went. This error message appeared very shortly after said window had closed. After closing the error box by clicking "ok", EAC freezes, and moments after closes. EAC was downloaded from here: https://www.netzwelt.de/software-download/38342-exact-audio-copy-eac.html It is what seems to be the only official mirror, looking here: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/en/index.php/resources/download/ -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 49792] New: pfx import does not works
by WineHQ Bugzilla Aug. 21, 2026

Aug. 21, 2026

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49792 Bug ID: 49792 Summary: pfx import does not works Product: Wine Version: 5.16 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: crypt32 Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: eugene_s_s2(a)mail.ru Distribution: --- Created attachment 68106 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=68106 logs with WINEDEBUG=+crypt I have Debian 9 and Wine 5.0.2 (also tried 5.16) I run "wine control" to add new certificate from pfx-file (in attachment, it's not secret, password is 1) But when i try to add pfx from certificate import wizard i receive message, that file format is not supported (i do not know exact english error, because i receive it in russian). I tried to make pfx by openssl 1.0.1, also by microsoft windows built-in export-to- -pfx wizard. Also tried making pem-files, but got succesfull import only for public part of certificate. Also I tried making certificate request by windows CA and by Openssl, but still no luck. Also tried importpfx.exe -f certificate.p12 - p "1" -t USER -s MY. (With MACHINE parameter also) The output says that import suceeded. But i did not see any certificates in wine control. Importing of cer-files works. What am i doing wrong? All that i know is that from wine 5.0 (as in release notes) importing of pfx blobs is supported. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 42226] New: No ingame sfx audio when CD Audio playing with builtin dsound in Ignition
by wine-bugs＠winehq.org Aug. 21, 2026

Aug. 21, 2026

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42226 Bug ID: 42226 Summary: No ingame sfx audio when CD Audio playing with builtin dsound in Ignition Product: Wine Version: 1.9.23 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: directx-dsound Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: mads(a)ab3.no Distribution: --- Wine 1.9.23 (Staging) If I play the original Ignition[1] (Ign_3dfx.exe with nGlide 1.05) with native *dsound driver (winetricks dsound), both CD Audio and ingame sfx works, but there's about a half-second latency to every ingame sfx. When I use the built-in dsound, I have to choose between listening to music, or listen to ingame sfx (if I enable CD Audio, there's no ingame sfx). But there's no latency to the ingame sfx when it's enabled. What kind of logs are interesting here?
