The client will attempt to update the game only to cycle back to updating something else. Its happening to more than just me https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/blizzard/t/cannot-download-any-games-from… looking at the linux posts. The same thing happens on a Manjaro install and a Debian testing install that previously worked. This error massage appeared a few weeks ago and I tried a lot of work-arounds but nothing's changed. In playonlinux the installation goes to the login panel but there's another error: Battle.net Helper.exe encountered a serious problem. I have been able to play games such as Control in the past from it. Now multiple games fail to launch from that partition with similar "err:module:import_dll Library X not found" errors. Normally, there shouldn't be any window shown for Agent.exe at all. With staging commit b49e8743866224df57eb1032b6c63c999b28c808 and older, the issue cannot be reproduced. Mainline wine (5.20) doesn't have this issue, and 8d04884c1f6aa6b21435130e42978fdeac06df55 (Updated winex11.drv-Query_server_position patchset …), which was supposed to fix this, had no effect. The same is true if all of the miscellaneous variables exported along with Clang are not set; this will still occur. Un-setting lld and/or any of the llvm variables bakes no difference.
