(see attachment Portal-glitch02.png) The screenshot illustrates how the sound effects captions in white are fine, only the dialog captions in red with italics are affected. I've tried reducing all graphics options and resolutions, to no avail. It looks like something specific to font rendering - the bounding box for the characters is not taking into account their italicization, so the rightmost pixels are being truncated. However, when I try to test the installation with `wine notepad` I get the errors which have been added in the attachment. The errors seem to be related to a failure to create directories. The keys HAVE been created (if you try to create it again, you get the error message "File exists"), but are not visible. There are MANY keys that I see in the system.reg file that I don't see in regedit! The problem at least existed already in Wine 1.4 (Ubuntu), and still exists in 1.6 (Mint Maya). To reproduce Step 1. With nothing using wine, run regedit and create a .pdf key in HKCR. Step 2. Close regedit. Step 3. Still with nothing running wine (so that the registry has been completely close), run regedit again. You will not see the .pdf key, but it does exist. The same thing is true for any keys entered via "regedit importkeys.reg". This is a feature request to add a mailing list for AppDB admins and maintainers, as discussed at WineConf2017. Posting to the list should be limited to those groups, but the posts should be archived on winehq.org and visible to anyone. Steps to Reproduce: update to 6-12 tcpdump -X -n -n host 194.187.19.180 (runewakers updateserver) start the game You see the connection, you see some tcp data, but your do not see ANY sign of a HTTP protocol and unencrypted port 80 connection should contain.
