The game runs but crash after the 1st bink video when the main menu must be appear. The game runs on wined3d/d3d11 but it's unplayable, works (of course with DXVK) and with the Native version. Any cutscene in the game goes out of sync , sometimes basically skips the audio and repeats itself again. Happens with esync/fsync on. Tested on both normal Wine builds , custom Wine builds and also Proton too. Launching game without any winetricks verbs, etc. results in the attached backtrace and console logs. Executing: winetricks directx9 and removing all the Wine library overrides allows the game demo to successfully launch, display a training video and reach the main login screen (as it can get - due to the shutdown, last year, of the Gamespy Master Servers). I haven't been able to successfully launch the game by installing the individual components of the DirectX9 installer. It takes a while for it to actually start so it's not obvious right after boot. Also the network connection is metered so it should not be downloading stuff. But I think it already had some updates downloaded and ready to install before the snapshot was taken so that after a while it just proceeds to install them which breaks some tests. The offer is a bit strange: the version 19.11.3 of the driver is installed but it offers to upgrade to 17.4.4! This snapshot does not have the Radeon GUI to avoid interference with the clipboard tests (see bug 47888), and with the sysparams tests (see bug 51362). But this also prevents disabling the upgrade dialogs. It turns out this is because it installs a new version of msvcp140.dll which behaves differently. Also Chocolatey shows that there are even newer versions of the Visual C++ runtime libraries which none of our test configurations have. Furthermore a survey of the current situation shows that some libraries are essentially not tested. That snapshot is created automatically by the TestBot. Currently this snapshot opens on the "create a Windows account" fullscreen dialog, the one with the following title: Let's finish setting up your device It seems this dialog 'pops up' automatically on boot if one does not provide a Microsoft account when installing Windows. When that happens is hard to predict, Windows seems to wait a few days or reboots before doing. Furthermore something WineTest does seems to make this dialog go away because it's not visible in the final WineTest screenshot. However it is visible if one runs a single test such as ntdll:exception.
