However, when I try to test the installation with `wine notepad` I get the errors which have been added in the attachment. The errors seem to be related to a failure to create directories. I found that the Source Insight crashes often after getting the search result. PS. Instead, the installer runs for me and I evntually get a MSVC error dialog and an msi error in the terminal: err:msi:ACTION_CallDllFunction GetProcAddress(L"GetWebInfo") failed Before installation, I'm running winetricks dotnet40 win7 There's a winediag error about missing odbc drivers, but jet40 and mdac28 don't help.
