It might be that this can't be done as font matching/replacing takes place at much later stage, yet would be nice if someone could verify one way or the other. Perhaps those names should simply hardcoded to be returned in Japanese locale, regardless of the fonts being actually present ? OS is not Windows 7 or later Setup & Installation 1. Installed Wine-2.15 staging via package installer 2. pass in WINEARCH=win32 and WINEPREFIX=[some perfix] to winecfg. Directory is not pre-made, so Wine created the directory and did the work. 3. chose Windows 7 and enabled CSMT, VAAPI, EAX under "Staging" tab in winecfg 3. Used Winetricks to install vcrun 2005 - 2015, vcrun6, vcrun6sp6; msxml4 and 6;msc40 and 42 to run Clip Studio Paint 1.6.2 Installed Clip Studio Paint 1.6.2 and started the software with stylus on tablet ready for use. Running the software I got an error saying "Running on unsupported OS. OS is not Windows 7 or later" --- This software runs on Windows 7. I ran this software on a Windows 7 64bit machine before. Clicked passed it, and the workspace loads but I couldn't draw on the canvas. Upon opening, ErrorReportClient.exe crashes and gives an error. I disabled this in the config file and when I open it as it gets to the stage "Initializing UI" a popup appears saying "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled" Process ID=0x7a(122) Thread ID=0x41(65)and I am forced to close. I have installed this app in windows (same exe file) and it works without issues. I followed the guide at https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=33292 without the dlls and with Windows version set to Windows 7. I would be so appreciative if you can help with this issue as I would absolutely need and love Vegas in Wine. This is my first report so I hope I did it right! Thank you for your time. On the biggest monitor, wine application don't go fullscreen correctly, vertically size seems to be limited by the size of the smallest monitor. In my example if I fullscreen WORD I get some of the UI missing and a desktop background stripe in the lower part of the monitor. This feature is very important,since there are absolutely no alternatives to these applications on linux (if you study their key features you'll see there arent any on windows too at the moment,especially Sai). The applications work almost perfectly on wine,but that lack of this feature stops people from taking advantage of that. Another application is Open Canvas... In detail: 1. configure "virtual desktop" mode via winecfg 2. Start EliteDangerous in Wine 3. Open a view inside EliteDangerous where every mouseclick (independent of cursor position) will have an effect (e.g. cockpit mode -> mouse-1 fires weapon) 4. switch to another X11 window (e.g. Firefox) 5. click onto something When clicking in Firefox, the click also get send into the game. So e.g. the primary weapon gets fired in the game. Alternatively, the cursor can also positioned over an ingame button (e.g. in the main menu). Then get another window into foreground without moving the mouse (e.g. alt-tab) and then click. This will trigger the ingame button over which the cursor lasted before switching windows. The app runs fine on 32 bit i386 with no errors. Running under a 64 bit architecture it comes up with an error: Debug Assertion Failed. There are abort, retry and ignore options given. Retry and subsequently show details gives the backtrace listing attached below. Ignore, followed by OK starts iUAT normally. Wine is version 1.7.12 64bit. Can this error be eliminated? Thanks. That app is portable, and the executable ran fine on my Ubuntu 20.4. Now I've installed Mint 20.1, then wine 6, then ran the same MLO executable again. Something bizarre happens: when I click on a tab in the app, its window moves to a specific position and size. If I move or resize the window and click one of the tabs, it moves back to that position. If I click elsewhere, this odd behavior doesn't happen. 1. Download from https://www.mylifeorganized.net/todo-list-windows.shtml and install 2. Launch the application. There should be two tabs at the top - "Outline" and "To-Do". 3. Click among them while moving the window around. I've run `sudo apt install --install-recommends winehq-devel`, but `wine --version` still outputs `wine-6.0` just like stable. When I try to run EstimateS version 9.1.0 via "wine drive_c/EstimateS\ 9\ Windows/EstimateSWin910/EstimateSWin910.exe" it crashes with "wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000024 at address 0xdf9149 (thread 0009), starting debugger..." I have these wine packages installed via the Ubuntu PPA: wine-gecko2.24:amd64 - 2.24-0ubuntu1~ppa1 wine-gecko2.24:i386 - 2.24-0ubuntu1~ppa1 wine-mono4.5.2 - 4.5.2-0ubuntu1~ppa1 wine1.7 - 1:1.7.25-0ubuntu1~ppa4 wine1.7-amd64 - 1:1.7.25-0ubuntu1~ppa4 wine1.7-i386 - 1:1.7.25-0ubuntu1~ppa4 winetricks - 0.0+20140302-0ubuntu2 The backtrace is attached.
