Loading a saved game while you are in-game results in a crash. Tested with the GOG version. The crash can be reproduced with the demo/tour version as well. The same problem in Wine 1.2.3/1.4.1/1.6.2/1.7.38. Steps to reproduce the problem with the demo version: Start the installed demo with tour.exe. Click on the highlighted <Tour>, <Skip all>, <Play> buttons. Click the button right next to <Proceed> in the lower right corner. Click <Save>...the game is saved. Now click <Restore> in the options menu and select the previously saved game. The game is loaded without errors but if you click <Proceed> the game crashes. The demo version doesn't allow to load a saved game from the title screen. I have to click the cancel button and then the message box closes. But the files aren't being downloaded. I suspect the culpit is the error : 0118:fixme:wininet:InternetSetFilePointer (00000004 0 00000000 0 0): stub because i tried it with a launcher of a private server and it worked fine. But with another one it doesn't. And the main difference in the logs is this error. However the audio associated with the videos is reproduced correctly with all builtin. To be able to play in game sound the game need these dlls setted to native:dsound,dmime,dmsynth,dmusic,dswave However when setting dsound as native the audio of the videos (as the intro video) is not played anymore (the video component of the video is still played perfectly). To experience this issue you need to set as native dsound.dll only. There are two reasons for this failure: * VarParseNumFromStr() expects the currency sign to precede the monetary amount. This is not how it works in most European languages such as French, German, Swiss, etc. * VarParseNumFromStr() normally does not allow spaces between the monetary amount and the currency sign. However in French the thousands separator is a non-breaking space and that's a special case that also allows regular spaces. So, because in this case VarParseNumFromStr() is called with NUMPRS_THOUSANDS, it should ignore that space and successfully parse the trailing currency sign. Reproduced the issue with nouveau/mesa 17.1.3 and nvidia binary drivers 381.22. Disabling anti-aliasing and lowering detail level to the minimum doesn't help. According to my testing the commit which caused the slowdown is commit 15d53761a5fbfc12fc5f9974c029dace00eab33d Author: Henri Verbeet <hverbeet(a)codeweavers.com> Date: Tue Jan 31 15:47:10 2017 +0100 wined3d: Do not pin system memory in wined3d_buffer_load_location(). Maybe a duplicate of bug #42588, although the symptoms are different. With the previous commit the game runs much smoothly. For comparison, in Wine 2.11 I'm getting only 4-5 fps when using nvidia 381.22. Before the regression Wine gave me 32-36 fps. Steps to reproduce the issue with the demo: 1. download and install the demo, install native d3dx9_33.dll before launching the game. 2. in the main menu start a new game, click <Next> on the character selection screen, press <Skip>. You are in a training chamber: run around in the room, rotate the camera using the right mouse button and observe how sluggish the game is. You can save the game here so you can reproduce the issue more easily the next time you enter the game. This is also something that has been happening for a while, I just decided to report it because It can affect some parts of the game, such as rated PVP. The particular error logs as follows: 05f4:err:seh:dispatch_exception unknown exception (code=c0000420) raised wineserver crashed, please enable coredumps (ulimit -c unlimited) and restart. How to reproduce: This feels 'random' but makes me _think_ it could be a memory leak issue. If you're in highly populated areas _or_ highly demanding zones, it can trigger itself. Two recent scenarios I can recall - First, doing multiple arena matches and waiting for the queue in Oribos. If I don't do anything and just leave the game as is without inputs it runs for quite a while without issue. But without fail, if I start making inputs the game crashes within a minute or two. Clicking on the Signature Properties button brings up the Signature Properties window, but the Show Certificate button is greyed out. In Windows (tested XP & 7 in a VM), the first time you try to validate the signature the message in the Signature Validation Status window is: Signature validity is UNKNOWN. - The document has not been modified since the signature was applied. - The signer's identity is unknown because it has not been included in your list of trusted identities and none of its parent certificates are trusted. - The certificate has exceeded the time of validity. However, in Windows the Show Certificate button on the Signature Properties window works and takes you to a dialog that allows you to import the certificate. Once that is done, the message from clicking on the signature is: Signature is VALID, signed by John B Harris ,jbharris(a)adobe.com> - The document has not been modified since this signature was applied. - The signer's identity is valid. - The certificate has exceeded the time of validity. I'm attaching a log from opening the sample PDF and clicking on the signature in a clean wineprefix. It works almost perfectly fine. One regression regarding a hang on exit was already reported, see bug 56182 for more information. After some time of testing I found another minor flaw which is most likely gdiplus.dll related. The screen-output freezes for a short time after a selected area (in a picture) is moved around for more than two or three pixels. This is true for both, the built-in and the native gdiplus.dll. It affects only the drawing of the picture and not the mouse cursor. However, while the bug is present on both gdiplus variants, there exist still a difference when it occurs. (That's the reason why I think it is related to gdiplus.) A gdiplus.dll override to native is also needed for the first startup. Otherwise it is not possible to close the "Learning center" dialog box. When that is done the override can be reverted. Note, Paint Shop Pro 9 already contains an own (quite old) native "gdiplus.dll" file. It can be said that the built-in gdiplus works apart from that flaw somehow smoother than the included native version.
