After the enter is done, the text appears correctly. There are 2 cases : when window is maximized, then part of the tab is hidden, when the window is "restored" then display is acceptable If I enable the menu bar (menu view/toolbars/menu bar, I get there by doing ALT+F, and then navigate with keyboard and mouse), then the menu bar is not visible. CD in a CD drive" [Retry][Quit] Clicking "Retry" will make the dialog disappear, then it appeared back almost instantly. Clicking "Quit" will simply close the program. I Love Science's CD was mounted at drive D: Tested with WINE's Windows version 98. I Love Science! is a Win16 application and supports Windows 3.x. WINE: wine-1.5.6 source distribution. The list of intermediate hosts in "Advanced settings" should be grayed (disabled) until checkbox "Connect through host" is marked. In this installation I stumbled on the issue that the EAC plugins were not recognized. This issue is said to be fixed in #43270. I have manually compiled Wine 4.17 for 32bit, which let to the output in the attachment. After winetricks dotnet20 I was able to run EAC.exe, including the plugins that were previously missing, this resulted in not able to retrieve information about CDs. But this seems to be a side effect of the plugins "working". When selecting Build-in freedb engine under Metadata options, information was retrieved. The second attachment shows the problem using the CUETools plugin. Also tried latest wine up to the 9.0rc3. Camera Raw in Photoshop lose focus after after tooltip appearing, all buttons gray out. After switching to other apps and come back to Camera Raw the focus returns until tooltip appearing. If 'emulate virtual desktop' is enabled the 'Camera Raw' doesn't lose focus and behave good. Thus only the 32-bit dll is available and the 64-bit test is skipped. The crash happens in the following call: hr = IAssemblyCache_InstallAssembly(cache, 0, L"wine.dll", NULL); But skipping this call just moves the crash to the next InstallAssembly() call. It's not clear whether the crash is caused by the NULL RefData pointer: the crash still happens if I pass a non-NULL but pretty empty FUSION_INSTALL_REFERENCE structure (in particular szNonCannonicalData == NULL). While D2D1GeometrySinc::AddArc() is currently a stub, it tries to be smart and calls d2d_figure_add_vertex() to add a terminating arc point to the figure, however this doesn't work, and next call to ::AddLine() draws the line from the point where previous line was terminated instead of an added vertex, and this leads to drawing a distorted rectangle. A simple implementation of ::AddArc() that calculates points of two arc quadrants and calls d2d_geometry_outline_add_arc_quadrant() helper also suffers from the same problem: added arc quadrants don't seem to properly mark end of the figure segment. This seems to be caused by difference between how ::AddLines() and d2d_geometry_outline_add_line_segment() (used by d2d_rounded_rectangle_geometry_init() helper called from ::CreateRoundedRectangleGeometry()) create line segments. Attached test applications (source + binary) use both described above approaches: ::CreateRoundedRectangleGeometry() and ::AddLine() + ::AddArc(). Once the game has opened and is fullscreen, use Alt-Tab to switch to another app 3. Now switch back to the game. 4. The game now ignores mouse and keyboard input! To fix it, kill the game, then run: wine reg add 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver' /t REG_SZ /v UseTakeFocus /d N /f Now try the above steps again. It has likely fixed the problem! What I can best describe it as is, for some reason it stretches itself down vertically by what's seemingly the size of what would be the title bar of the application. When running Live with window manager decorations / control enabled under Wine configuration, this causes the application window to bounce up and down very rapidly, bringing most of my machine's CPU time with it. This makes the whole application practically unusable. When running on a virtual desktop, the stretch-up-and-down-sorta movement does not happen, however, with the main window stretched downwards, mouse clicks and things respond a few pixels off vertically, and the application is not usable in this state. Interestingly, the same doesn't happen on Live's subwindows, such as the settings window or anything else really Prior to Live 12.1.5 this could be mitigated by using a hotkey to make Ableton run full screen. With recent Ableton updates this doesn't seem to work anymore. As the DX11 implementation has been improved in Wine, the graphics stopped working at some point after Wine 2.3. I have attached a log file which may indicate well enough about the root reason of the issue (Should I still run a regression test?) Wine complains *a lot* about the following: err:d3d:wined3d_debug_callback 0x1b309e40: "GL_INVALID_ENUM error generated. Invalid primitive mode.". P.S. There are already an open ticket for corrupted graphics in this game (bug 42729), but this issue is about "No graphics at all". GUI graphics (menus etc.) are still okay. The simple graphics modes where each particle is a circle work great, with perfect performance. The game requires no install and starts up instantly. The problem is that the higher graphics modes that use shaders do not work. I have attached a picture for an example. The fire effect is visible on top of a black screen. From previous experience I know that this caused when OE-Cake cannot recognize your graphics card, at least that's how it is caused in Windows on real hardware. I've played some pretty advanced games on WINE so I have a feeling this could be fixed somehow. An alternate failure mode that several users have reported is that the shader modes do work, but in the lower graphics modes each circle representing a particle is replaced by a square making it look like Minecraft.
