[Bug 58903] New: OleviewDotnet fails to start.
by WineHQ Bugzilla Nov. 2, 2025

Nov. 2, 2025

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58903 Bug ID: 58903 Summary: OleviewDotnet fails to start. Product: Wine Version: 10.18 Hardware: x86-64 URL: https://cdn.powershellgallery.com/packages/oleviewdotn et.1.16.0.nupkg OS: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download, source Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: ole32 Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: xerox.xerox2000x(a)gmail.com Distribution: Debian Created attachment 79584 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=79584 patch with two stubs This is like oleview, with several extra options and using .net. It fails to start with messageboxes that it cannot find entrypoints for CoGetSystemSecurityPermissions and RtlGetSecurityDescriptorRMControl. Attached patch with stubs (and test for CoGetSystemSecurityPermissions) makes the application start. Steps to reproduce: wget https://cdn.powershellgallery.com/packages/oleviewdotnet.1.16.0.nupkg && 7z x oleviewdotnet.1.16.0.nupkg && wine OleViewDotNet.exe RtlGetSecurityDescriptorRMControl seems undocumented, it seems to come from used library from https://github.com/googleprojectzero/sandbox-attacksurface-analysis-tools/b… --> [DllImport("ntdll.dll")] [return: MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.U1)] public static extern bool RtlGetSecurityDescriptorRMControl(SafeBuffer SecurityDescriptor, out byte RmControl); -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. The game runs but very badly, I have ~4 FPS in the main menu, it crashes when i launch a new game and the main menu does not appear correctly. For information, the game has bad performance with DXVK too but WINEFSYNC fix this issue. FSYNC + DAMAVAND has not effect. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Bug 58823] New: Wine Debian build dependencies are missing libxkbregistry-dev

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58823 Bug ID: 58823 Summary: Wine Debian build dependencies are missing libxkbregistry-dev Product: Packaging Version: unspecified Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-packages Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: shtetldik(a)gmail.com CC: dimesio(a)earthlink.net Distribution: --- I noticed that when I'm installing build dependencies using your Debian repo sudo apt build-dep wine-devel It's not pulling in libxkbregistry-dev, which results in the build missing winewayland support. Though I see that winewayland is provided by your own built packages somehow. Can you please make libxkbregistry-dev be pulled by build dependencies. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. [Bug 58759] New: Camerabag Pro 2025.2 goes to 100% CPU use and goes zombie when mousing over Photographic/Lens Flare etc option
by WineHQ Bugzilla Nov. 1, 2025

Nov. 1, 2025

http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58759 Bug ID: 58759 Summary: Camerabag Pro 2025.2 goes to 100% CPU use and goes zombie when mousing over Photographic/Lens Flare etc option Product: Wine Version: 10.16 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org Reporter: superian(a)gmail.com Distribution: --- Created attachment 79390 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=79390 Terminal output before using the OS to terminate the program New installation of Wine 10.16, new installation of CameraBag Pro 2025.2. Do not open anything, just mouseover the various adjustments. On doing so, the various mouseover previews work OK on an otherwise unseen default image until getting to three adjustments on the Photographic set: Lens Flare, Bokeh Lights, and Composite Image. If any of these are triggered by moving the mouse over the menu item, CPU use for the core used by the program goes to 100% and while the mouse cursor still moves, no functions of the program, including the mouseovers or closing it via clicking on the 'close' window button, work. The only way to exit the program is killing it via the OS. (Probably related to this because they use Lens Flare adjustment, the same happens when mousing over any of the 'Summer Flare' options in the Presets menu.) The same happens after opening a video or an image and mousing over those adjustments, but the latter are currently only visible when using winetricks/windowscodecs. https://web.archive.org/web/20250919105142/https://nevercenter.com/cameraba… > $ du -h Install_CameraBag_Pro_2025_2_0_win.exe > 63M Install_CameraBag_Pro_2025_2_0_win.exe > $ sha1sum Install_CameraBag_Pro_2025_2_0_win.exe > 01d4daf1dd05ab426858e19191dbabfa855c2558 Install_CameraBag_Pro_2025_2_0_win.exe -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. No winetricks used. Installation OK. Can open an MP4 video (see #58716 for issue opening a JPEG). Works well - can move within the video, make adjustments (alter contrast, white balance, add vignette and light leak effects etc) with animated mouseover previews of the effects - but crashes when generating a short preview video of the results. Happens when done via menu or button on bottom of window. MS Store link: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9wzdncrfhw7p The game, at present, crashes due to a missing RoCaptureErrorContext method inside of combase.dll. This most assurably is not enough to get the game running, but it would be nice to see what would need to be implemented next. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. I'm trying to build wine-mono 9.3.0/9.3.1 with wine-9.21 on Fedora 43 x86_64 and it fails to build. The log is attached and the specific error message is: + /usr/bin/make -O -j4 V=1 VERBOSE=1 image [snip] i686-w64-mingw32-gcc tools/installinf/installinf.c -lsetupapi -municode -mwindows -o build/installinf-x86.exe -gcodeview -g -Wl,-pdb= /tmp/ccpqYtMJ.s: Assembler messages: /tmp/ccpqYtMJ.s:4156: Error: can't resolve .debug$T - Ltext0 /tmp/ccpqYtMJ.s:4668: Error: can't resolve .debug$T - Ltext0 make: *** [GNUmakefile:159: build/installinf-x86.exe] Error 1 FWIW wine-mono-9.3.1-src.tar.xz is missing from https://dl.winehq.org/wine/wine-mono/ Would it be possible to upload it? Reason for wine-mono-9.3.0/9.3.1 + wine-9.21 instead of the latest wine + wine-mono: when using wine for music production with VST plugins in a DAW we are stuck with wine-9.21 due to issues in yabridge & wine > 9.21 Please let me know if you need more information.
