In wine-8.0 and wine-staging-8.0 it's broken. With wine-staging-8.0 the menu looks broken. See attached screenshot. (left is fine, right is broken) With wine-8.0 the menu loads, but starting a skirmish game crashes the application. Installation and game start seems to work well. But the mouse icon is customized for the game, and changes depending on whether there is an object under the mouse with which you can interact. In Windows a login screen appears. In WINE the entire program simply ceases to run. It just quits before the login screen appears. As a tester, you should know that the program should be working if you make it to the login screen. To fully test the program, you'd need a login and password though, which you need to work for tutor.com to have. Thanks for any assistance you can offer! Reproducible in the demo and the Steam version as well. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1690/Space_Empires_V/ The game displays an in-game window when such a file is about to load: 'File Missing - Could not load file: c:\program files\strategy first\malfador machinations\space empires v demo\pictures\models\ing_01.bmp' followed by 'Could not load file: c:\program files\strategy first\malfador machinations\space empires v demo\pictures\models\p01.bmp' As a result, some planets are displayed without textures. Note, the actual files that the game is trying to load are 'ring_01.bmp' and 'RP01.bmp' and they do exist in the given directory, but the first character of the filename is truncated by Wine for some reason. Starting from wine 6.12, Battle.net application takes a lot of time to start (more than 5 minutes). When started, it does not render content. Sometimes, after several attepmts to reload, the content is rendered. The issue persists in 6.13 and 6.14 too. I tried to install in fresh prefix, but with 6.14, after more than 10 minutes in state "Updating Battle.net update Agent", I gave up. With 6.11, installation completed in about 1 minute.
