It does, however, still work in Wine up until version 8.3. On the current Wine version, the games launcher starts and updates the game. Afterwards the games .exe starts and you can see it in the process list. However, the game window does not show up. The game developers have introduced a niche Unity store anti-cheat solution with version 450, so this might be an issue. However, since the game still runs in Wine 8.3, there seems to be a way to also have it run on current versions. It is possible to download and install the game without having a game account. The error occurs right after the games .exe starts up, before the login window appears. While I managed to launch the game and even played a few matches, when I got to certain game mode, called Master League, the game frozen with winedbg running in the background and the game would crash. You can find the attachment for the debug. I am running Bazzite KDE 43 with a Ryzen 5 5600 + RTX 3080. I am new to submitting bugs on Wine. This is my first Linux computer and I'm honestly lost on what is happening. I've tried fixing it myself but have had no luck. Started after I had battle.net installed, had it working and then had it not work the next day when I was trying to get diablo IV set up. It's now gotten to a point were I have a battle.net program running that I've tried to uninstall multiple times. The wine unistaller isn't working , and I'm getting this error. I'm also unsure on how to bring up the rest of the error log, so I only pasted what I can get into the attachment. The VS2022 (and I think also VS2019) C++ standard library in C++20 mode uses this DLL to implement the timezone database as specified by the C++ standard. The standard library loads this DLL dynamically with LoadLibraryExW (see <https://github.com/microsoft/STL/blob/ef62d3fa0b8e4e2406b9bb74e916e1ca8a1df…>) and throws a std::system_error (see <https://github.com/microsoft/STL/blob/ef62d3fa0b8e4e2406b9bb74e916e1ca8a1df…> and <https://github.com/microsoft/STL/blob/ef62d3fa0b8e4e2406b9bb74e916e1ca8a1df…>) when it cannot load it. In order to provide compatibility with modern Windows versions, IMHO Wine should thus ship a compatible icu.dll. A similar issue also exists for older Windows versions even on the Microsoft side (see <https://github.com/microsoft/STL/issues/1911>). This issue arose since I recently modernized timezone handling in OpenMPT by using C++20 chrono. For now, I have worked around the problem in OpenMPT.
