This will start Hedgewards at the end of the installer 4) Press "Play a game on a single computer" 5) Press "Play a quick game against the computer with random settings" 6) Sometimes, the game now shows the error "The program hedgewars.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close" 7) if the game does not crash, press escape and Y, and repeat step 5 My versions: $ wine --version wine-5.17 (Staging) $ uname -a Linux cedric-p4 5.8.10-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu, 17 Sep 2020 18:01:06 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Reader 11.0.4 with flash support for viewing PDF portfolios installed on Linux Mint 15 amd64. I can open a fully indexed PDF portfolio, and I can perform a search and get back the search window with the results for the search across the PDF files in the portfolio. However, as soon as I try to expand the results for a file to see the individual search hits, I get a dialog with "Unhandled exception, page fault...". See attached backtrace. Same problem happens with older versions of Wine and older versions of Reader. Runs great on Vista. It installs fine on Wine. To start the app, do cd ~/".wine/drive_c/Program Files/3impact5demos" wine demos.exe skinnedragdoll.dll The first problem is bug 21790; do 'winetricks vcrun2005' to get past that. The next problem is a crash related to d3dx9_36.D3DXAssembleShaderFromResourceW, roughly bug 12020. Work around this with 'winetricks d3dx9'. The next problem is that full-screen mode doesn't work (bug 21791). Work around this by telling the demo to run in a window. This prompts you to press N, and then crashes after you do, with wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000001c at address 0x431c10 (thread 0009), starting debugger... In WINE 3.3, it's orange-red and almost unreadable. The attached message repeats endlessly in the log. Perhaps this issue is also related to blur shaders in some DX11 games (e.g. Dirt 3) being too strong. There seems to be a trend of "too much".
