But I'm having issues running the installer. It seems to crash when trying to access bthprops.cpl, then just hangs with seemingly no further progress happening in the installer. When I manually extract the remaining files from the installer and run the application, it crashes when saying 'err:ole:create_server class {26c542da-da23-491e-afd5-8b38c8438fed} not registered' as can be seen from the attached log file. Searching this ID in Regedit on my Windows machine tells me it's the CLSID for the SensoryLicenceManager.Manager class found in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\SensoryLicenceManager.Manager\CLSID. I'm guessing it wasn't able to update the registry correctly in the wine prefix when the installer crashed. Recently I had some time to troubleshoot this problem. These Might and Magic 5 startup crashes happen ~50% of the time (see attached sample backtrace). That app is portable, and the executable ran fine on my Ubuntu 20.4. Now I've installed Mint 20.1, then wine 6, then ran the same MLO executable again. Something bizarre happens: when I click on a tab in the app, its window moves to a specific position and size. If I move or resize the window and click one of the tabs, it moves back to that position. If I click elsewhere, this odd behavior doesn't happen. 1. Download from https://www.mylifeorganized.net/todo-list-windows.shtml and install 2. Launch the application. There should be two tabs at the top - "Outline" and "To-Do". 3. Click among them while moving the window around. I've run `sudo apt install --install-recommends winehq-devel`, but `wine --version` still outputs `wine-6.0` just like stable. While the other bug has not been fixed, I've decided to already do the work of bisecting the issue to figure out what is causing the bug. Rocket League currently has an issue that causes it to crash with a very brief burst of static related to the sound device used. One reported workaround for Windows is to switch from headphones to speakers in settings: https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comments/1lflw0s/were_aware_of_a_seas… However, I already have it set to speakers in the game and stereo in winecfg. I tried most configuration of OSS on my system without luck. The only thing that made it run was to change dev.pcm.4.rec.vchanformat from s16le:2.0 to s32le:2.0, however, this causes this game (not others) to produce very distorted sounds. OTOH, I can run the game using ALSA, so that helps push the theory that the OSS driver is reporting something odd to the game or looks like headphones to it. Unfortunately, I have no idea. The focus should move to the next column in the table (Referenced Database) Actual Behavior Focus does not move to the next column. In the retail version, it crashes right after the intro cutscenes. You can try to bypass the bug with "LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib32/libjemalloc.so", however a lot of the graphics will be corrupted (button colors, the course preview image, etc) and the game will be VERY prone to crashing. The game DOES WORK flawlessly with Wine 6.18 without any issues. I'm using this Wine build (wine-6.18-x86.tar.xz): https://github.com/Kron4ek/Wine-Builds/releases/tag/6.18 Any version newer than Wine 6.18 will cause the crash. The expected behavior of this application is to toggle background color (red/green) by pressing Alt (VK_MENU) key. This application behaves correctly on Windows, and behaves correctly on Wine too but only when the Fcitx/iBus daemon (with XIM integration enabled) is *not* running: WM_SYSKEYDOWN: wParam: 18, lParam: 0x20380001 WM_SYSKEYUP: wParam: 18, lParam: 0xc0380001 However, the application behaves differently on Wine if Fcitx/iBus daemon is running: WM_SYSKEYDOWN: wParam: 18, lParam: 0x20380001 WM_SYSKEYUP: wParam: 18, lParam: 0xc0380001 WM_KEYUP: wParam: 18, lParam: 0xc0380001 and the toggle switch no longer works. (This affects every application that takes a similar approach, i.e. an application that uses Alt, Ctrl or Shift key to toggle something on WM_(SYS)KEYUP event.)
