The base edition shows the error once and loads after an "OK" and pressing escape after the "OK," and The Conquerors expansion shows the error three times and hitting the escape key before advancing to the menu. This bug occurs only with XWayland and in Wine's fullscreen mode: some of my old games (DX6 and DX7 era) shows graphical glitches that look like wrong Z-order issue and textures overlapping or missing entirely. The bug doesn't occur with XWayland in virtual desktop mode, neither under X server or when using the native Wayland driver. Reproduced using the nouveau vulkan driver (NVK over Zink) and Mesa 25.3.4 and with the following Nvidia binary driver versions as well: 570.211.01, 580.126.09, 590.48.01. Star Trek Bridge Commander demo, when starting a new game from the main menu, has this bug. Also, ONLY the player using Wine can create the game. Lastly, the joining players (i.e.the ones using Windows or the ones joining the game) are kicked out. When they are kicked out, the screen on their end reads "the host has left." This error was similar to the Command and Conquer 3 log I just filed. Usually, the second tab does not have this problem, and some actions trigger the header buttons to be redrawn, but they get overdrawn again at once. I tried to nail down the problem by vastly expanding RelayExclude to the 500 topmost function calls, an excerpt of the resulting log is also attached. Don't see it on my local notebook, but on machines that I vnc into, the messages comes up. Might be linked to vnc connections. Just do a vnc into machines, (Fedora 42 or 43) and do wine notepad to do test after update. So, note sure if is something that should just be ignored, or perhaps some setting/option that should be set. Using TurboVnc with XFCE desktop. Quick search seems to say it just uses a slower screen update method? Just thought to mention it. Update went fine, and notepad test works, and Pegasus works fine, which is main app. Thanks. With the commit is reverted everything redraws normally. Softube provides a free plugin that reproduces the issue ("Saturation Knob"), but sadly it's not very straightforward to set it up. First you need some DAW software what can run windows VST plugins through wine, like lmms. Then Softube doesn't provide it's plugins directly but insists on installing them through their bloated downloader, which then insists to install several licensing services. I could not get it to work through wine and used a windows vm for that part. (Last time it did was with Wine 9 Stable Release) Upon examining the console output, i observed that every command attempted results in the message: "0120:fixme:powershell:wmain argv". Moreover, i am unable to start PowerShell itself, as it only returns: 0120:fixme:powershell:wmain stub. 0120:fixme:powershell:wmain argv[0] L"C:\windows\system32\WindowsPowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe" I plan to perform a bisect analysis when i have more availability.
