I used the llvm-mingw compiler from https://github.com/mstorsjo/llvm-mingw , but I don't think the PE compilers are the issue. Attempting to run any Wine program results in the wine process crashing: attempting to debug the loader executable using macOS' lldb says that the file is a "Malformed Mach-o file". Also, I know the maintainers of Bugzilla encourage reporting only one problem per bug. That being said, the exact same time this started happening, my existing Wine prefix for Battle.net (and my Battle.net games) caused thread crashes when opening Battle.net after installing yesterday's update. The update was installed from within the Battle.net client by clicking the green icon to install the update. Prior to this update released yesterday on November 30, 2023, Battle.net and the games were running flawlessly. Pressing ESC closes the game (with the full-screen, black window), and I can see the attached output in my terminal. I should be able to switch to another desktop and get a debug trace when the black game window is on the screen, if you'd like me to do that. I'm using 375.26 of NVidia's drivers. It uses an old MS database system (Jet?) so that might be a clue. After updating WINE I had to reboot the system before legacy would open at all. Even now it crashes randomly.
