Install TortoiseSVN in a 64-bit wine prefix. 2. Try to run TortoiseMerge.exe with the wine prefix mentioned in step 1. For example, run "wine TortoiseMerge.exe" from a terminal if the default wine prefix was used. Current behavior: TortoiseMerge closes before showing a window. No TortoiseMerge window appears. Expected behavior: TortoiseMerge is expected to start, allowing the user to compare and merge files in a windowed GUI. Additional information: A download for the current version of the TortoiseSVN installer as of this report is at https://osdn.net/projects/tortoisesvn/storage/1.14.1/Application/TortoiseSV… A log showing terminal output when trying to run "wine TortoiseMerge.exe" is attached. Opinion: This is one of 2 bugs preventing using TortoiseSVN fully in wine. The other is 50756. If these 2 bugs are fixed, TortoiseSVN could be used fully, easing the transition of users whose jobs rely on SVN to Linux. Currently some companies still use SVN and I've tried all the free SVN clients for Linux, and none of them come close to the level of convenience and intuitiveness that TortoiseSVN provides. I have nemo actions ready to enable full usage in of TortoiseSVN in Linux if these 2 bugs are fixed. This would help me personally tremendously, as digging through old revisions in alternate SVN branches is part of my job and extremely difficult with any SVN client other than TortoiseSVN using TortoiseMerge. If I then attempt to reinstall the game, I get an error saying "Error: -1627 Function failed". Neither of them work in Wine. 1. After performing a manual save in the game, a 'save successful' message is shown on the screen, however, if I open the <Load game> menu, it is empty. 2. When the player dies there is an option to restore the last saved game: clicking on this option results in a crash as can be seen in the attached log file. The demo version doesn't let you save the game, but it does perform an autosave, thus the crash can be reproduced with the demo too. Here's how: 1. install the demo, the game needs native d3dx9_36 and dxdiagn (bug #32163). 2. start the demo with Lockdown.exe, skip the intros. In the menu choose <Single Player> - <Start Mission> and wait until the game is loaded. 3. press '4' to instruct teammates to stay back. There will be some bad guys around the corner, step to them without shooting so the player dies pretty soon. 4. the menu with statistics appears, click on <Load Last Save>...the game crashes at this point. There's nothing serious in the terminal, the game's own log file contains: [ERROR | IkeStateMgr::SaveGame | 735] Could not open file c:/program files/ubisoft/red storm entertainment/rainbow six lockdown demo/data/save/game/autosave.sav This directory structure does exist in Wine: C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/Red Storm Entertainment/Rainbow Six Lockdown Demo/data/save Inside ../save there should be a /game directory which contains the saved games. This directory (as well as an autosave.sav) should be created when you start the first mission. For some reason the /game directory is not created in Wine. Workaround: you have to manually create the /game directory before starting the game the first time. It appears to still be a mix of NET Framework and Delphi components. It has both online and offline installers (URL link is to offline installer, 2.1GB). It requires a registration code to use the app but this is prompted after launch. The offline installer works without problems but includes NET Framework 2.6.1 which doesn't install properly (as per NET Framework Setup Verification Tool) so winetricks is needed: winetricks -q corefonts dotnet461 Upon execution the app (X2.EXE) page faults after the splash screen. Occurs with both dev and staging. Imperium use Wave audio, and it's supposed to be implemented. And in fact audio fully worked on wine-staging 8.10 (first checked) until 8.15 (last working version available on the arch repo, these version doesn't seems to be compilable, maybe require an older version of some toolchain component), while the sucessive version available on the arch repo, 8.18 doesn't work anymore, and this match with the disabling of dmime-load-wave from staging, as it's supposed to be included into upstream. However it seems the current upstream is quite differently from the patchset, using wavetracks instead of putting the wave inside a segment. Resulting log shows multiple object interoperating, and dmime have a lot of functions that while having an implementation are still marked like "fixme stub",making it confusing to debug without being familiar. It is crashing during starting in a Wine 9.0 box among Linux Mint. Wine tricks is also installed. I think the mistakes have to do with Microsofts .Net Runtime environment. I could install the above mentioned software without a mistake message under Wine 9.0. .Net package is also installed. The previous main Version of Profi cash was version 11. Profi cash version 11 runs in a Wine 9.0 box on the same computer. The only two things which are not doing is printing and working with a reiner sct (smartcard reader) via USB. But I can live with that. I think the reason is, that Wine is just a box for a Windows program and not a complete Windows environment. If so, that would be fine. By the way Profi cash Version 11 needs no .Net Runtime environment to run. The development of Version 11 is terminated. New features and amendments by law or regulations will be only technically implemented in Version 12. Hope someone can help me. In jpeg_decoder_initialize, the values for cinfo.output_width and cinfo.output_height are retrieved directly from a jpeg file's header. cinfo.output_width and cinfo.output_height can be manipulated by editing the header of the jpeg file being processed. They are two bytes each in the image's header so their values can range from 0x0000 to 0xFFFF. These variables are multiplied with frame.bpp. When these three values are multiplied together they can exceed the limit of a 32-bit unsigned integer, leading to an integer overflow vulnerability. This product is used to set the size of the image_data buffer, which will store the decompressed jpeg (https://github.com/wine-mirror/wine/blob/master/dlls/windowscodecs/libjpeg.…) When the sizing arguments overflow, the buffer becomes too small to store the decompressed data. The program writes the decompressed image to the buffer using the jpeg_read_scanlines function. The function ends up writing to out-of-bounds memory due to the buffer’s small size (https://github.com/wine-mirror/wine/blob/master/dlls/windowscodecs/libjpeg.…) This causes data in memory adjacent to the buffer to be overwritten. An attacker is in control of the image's height, width, and contents. Running Siemens Solid Edge 2025, everything launches and the software works, aside from the occasional crash, but the UI seems to be using SVG icons which do not render at all, making the software completely unusable. Steps to reproduce: 1 - Obtain an installer for Solid Edge 2025. Unfortunately I can't provide a direct link as Siemens does not, but you can obtain the installer online relatively easily. Piracy is NOT needed, and you do NOT need a license. Just the original, legitimate installer is all that's required. The Community Edition version is based on 2023/2024, which does not have this problem, and therefore is not suitable for reproduction. You need specifically the latest 2025! 2 - Disable wbemprox.dll, or the installer gets hung up on something(bug, trivial/minor, not important). 3 - Run setup.exe, follow the installation process. 4 - When setup is done, remove the wbemprox.dll disablement. 5 - Run /Program/SELicWiz.exe, select the Free 2D Drafting mode. 6 - It will execute a Powershell script (stub?) to modify the registry. Change the following key to what it tells you it wants to be set as: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment\SE_LICENSE_SERVER 7 - Run /Program/Edge.exe once or twice. It will complain about not having a license once(bug), then on the next launch it will pick up the free 2D drafting mode and launch in that. 8 - Create a new draft, that's the only option you'll see. 9 - Observe the ribbon menu not having any icons visible. The buttons light up on hover, but there are no icons, and as they're icon-only, it makes the software unusable. I believe this is the important bit in the log: 0024:fixme:dxgi:DXGID3D10CreateDevice Ignoring flags 0x20. 0024:fixme:d2d:d2d_device_context_CreateSvgDocument iface 00000000097EBEE0, input_xml_stream 0000000009CDDE00, svg_document 0000000000A1C460 stub! 0024:fixme:wincodecs:FormatConverter_CanConvert Unsupported source format {6fddc324-4e03-4bfe-b185-3d77768dc900} The problem lies somewhere in wincodecs and/or d2d1, which appear to have stubs for SVG rendering. Installing DXVK via winetricks changes nothing. Swapping binaries around from 2023/2024 breaks the software. The icons it's trying to load are located in /Program/ResDLLs/0009/RibbonImage.drx - there are SVG and PNG versions, but cutting out SVG ones doesn't seem to change anything.
