I tried to install the standalone version of the free to play game “Nosgoth”, which fails. The game is downloadable at nosgoth.com after registration. The page doesn't accept Linux user agents, so switch it to something with windows. The new version is standalone from Steam. So it might be easier to make it runnable. The installation fails with an error message. I attached it together with the stack trace from wine. Please help me how to find the reason of the fail, probably my bug report is way too general. Installed the v.1.0.32 sane packages (64bit) from here: https://launchpad.net/~sane-project/+archive/ubuntu/sane-release/+packages 2. packages i386 from above can not be installed to 64 bit systems. 3. Update to wine stable 7 failed. After a lot of search, discovered that wine attempts to install the libsane1:i386 package, from the above ppa, which fails. 4. Disabled the Sane PPA. Started install again, wine attempted to install the libsane:i386 form the Ubuntu repository. This is older, so conflicts with libsane-common 1.0.32 -installation failed. can be removed the libsane:i386 dependency from wine? Since WOW64 has the 32bit binaries available, I cant imagine it is impossible or difficult to limit 64bit applications if the windows version were set below XP. These two lines are repeating as long as you are scrolling.
