Same issue existed back in wine-stable version 10 (installed via MacPorts) and in wine-development 11.0-rc5 (installed via Homebrew this time, MacPorts version uninstalled). I installed a Godot game meant for Windows (https://allhailthequeenuwu.itch.io/tadc-vn-candy-chaos) and tried running it through Wine on my Mac. For the most part, it works perfectly fine. However, there is a weird issue where the application icon in the dock does not render properly. Instead, it shows up cut off. This happens whether running it through the command line, right-clicking on the .exe and opening it via Wine-Devel, or running the game through the Wine explorer. The game files seem to be stored separately from the downloaded zip file. I was able to find some game files in "/Users/<user>/.wine/drive_c/users/<user>/AppData/Roaming/Godot/app_userdata/TADC Fangame sequel", though they seem to be user preferences, logs, save file data, and shader caches. I have my game installed in "/Applications/Games/TADCVN CANDY CHAOS/TADCVN_CANDY_CHAOS.exe." These two should be flipped. I have tested with SDL disabled and enabled and I get the same behavior. This occurs in current wine and in current proton releases. The problem does not occur in Proton 6 series, but does with 7 and later. I am aware this bug tracker is for wine, but using Proton was the best way to test an older, albeit heavily patched, version of wine that I am currently aware of. This issue is a problem because games in the X-Wing and Tie Fighter series of games treat the rudder (or accidental joystick rotation on this cheap joystick) as throttle movements and constantly adjust throttle during gameplay. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. Usually, the second tab does not have this problem, and some actions trigger the header buttons to be redrawn, but they get overdrawn again at once. I tried to nail down the problem by vastly expanding RelayExclude to the 500 topmost function calls, an excerpt of the resulting log is also attached. Don't see it on my local notebook, but on machines that I vnc into, the messages comes up. Might be linked to vnc connections. Just do a vnc into machines, (Fedora 42 or 43) and do wine notepad to do test after update. So, note sure if is something that should just be ignored, or perhaps some setting/option that should be set. Using TurboVnc with XFCE desktop. Quick search seems to say it just uses a slower screen update method? Just thought to mention it. Update went fine, and notepad test works, and Pegasus works fine, which is main app. Thanks. With the commit is reverted everything redraws normally. Softube provides a free plugin that reproduces the issue ("Saturation Knob"), but sadly it's not very straightforward to set it up. First you need some DAW software what can run windows VST plugins through wine, like lmms. Then Softube doesn't provide it's plugins directly but insists on installing them through their bloated downloader, which then insists to install several licensing services. I could not get it to work through wine and used a windows vm for that part.
