http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60376 --- Comment #13 from Bernhard Übelacker <bernhardu@mailbox.org> --- Thanks for providing the information. Both backtraces show the same failing instruction. Unfortunately both CPUs seem not to support AVX instructions. There is no "avx" listed in the "flags" paragraph. ("Intel Core i3-370M" from 2010, "Intel Celeron G1820" from 2014) Additionally it looks like the vendor of simintro.exe decided to allow the compiler to use those instructions. I assume this same crash would happen when starting it with Windows at the same CPU. Therefore I fear this is not a Wine issue. There may be a possiblity to run the software when using something like libbadcpu.so from https://github.com/Z3ki/sober-oss, but this is out of Wine's scope and, if it would work, may make it unusable slow, depending how much simintro.exe is using those instructions. Much simpler may be to use a more recent CPU. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
