OK, I've been neglectful.

Anyway:

The string is "\25fc\25fb\25fb\25fb\25fb" (for the boxes).

It's supposed to be Tahoma, well System => Tahoma.

So, that's most likely just 'missing glyph' boxes, i.e. an incomplete
substitution problem.
