Running wine20030318, mandrake9.1rc2 (that could contribute to the problem, but
it has been pretty stable),athlon2200, wine-only install and with a winecheck
score of 100%.
The first try installing an application
(the game tibia71.exe - http://tibia.4players.de/home/?subtopic=download),
during the install an error message occurs when the app is writing the files:
"An error occured when trying to rename a file in the installation directory.
Movefile failed; code 317
message 0x not found in file"
and the installation fails.
console message:

Reverse this patch and it starts up fine. I can't figure out
what causes this since it looks like a straightforward search
and replace. I did make clean and a full rebuild to be sure.

Startup.OLEServer=0
in Hamster.ini.

Well, if EMI works fine in managed mode but not in desktop mode, that is the
problem.
If not, it may be a DInput issue and another bug (check by doing a +dinput trace).

Hi,
WS_MAXIMIZEBOX doesn't seem to work.
I tried to enable just the maximize flag on a dialog, but instead what I got
was wine didn't letting the user change the dialog size at all.
Cesar Mello (mello(a)elipse.com.br) coded a little example which shows this bug,
please see the attachments.
