I'm not sure if the chosen component is correct, I don't have much knowledge
about the wine project.
Furthermore I've forgotten to copy some interesting output, that appears on the
console.
So this appears during using pegasus mail:

Hello!
in the following there are copies of two mails which I've sent to the wine-
users list, after a little discussion on the list I think this is a bug and no
configuration problem.
The first mail:
> Hello together!
>
> I got the following problem and I haven't found a solution or bug report
> at the wine site: If I start pegasus mail (I use the latest version:
> 4.12a) I will get "reverse text" in the preview mirror at the down right
> side. This means the content of the email (only the body, not the subject
> or recipient list) is written from the right side to the left side. If I
> now open an email via the menu button or double click to get a separate

> recipient list in "reverse text style", the body will be displayed just
> like in the preview window.

Part of the second mail, may be a important information:
> Because I also verified this error on a plain wine only windows emulation

Summary: Hidden forms show as blank modal forms when loaded
Product: Wine
Version: 20040408
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-gdi
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: wine(a)spacejock.com
This started with Wine 20040408, and is still present in Wine 20040505
My Visual Basic app loads a form at startup, but doesn't display it.
Unfortunately, both these versions of Wine DO attempt to display this hidden
form, and they display it as a modal dialog without any controls on it,
effectively stopping the program dead.
Not sure if this is related, but suddenly the splash screens in all my apps are
showing a title bar and corner 'X' widget, when they're actually designed
without either. This is only a visual thing, and has no effect on the program
execution.

The Office '97 setup program says it exited unsuccessfully, but Wine itself
claims a successful exit. This was without any native Windows DLLs.

Could you (just to try it) add the line with '+' before it to the
dlls/ddraw/direct3d/mesa.c file in the create_device_helper function :
if ((iid == NULL) ||
(IsEqualGUID(&IID_D3DDEVICE_OpenGL, iid)) ||
+ (IsEqualGUID(&IID_IDirect3DRampDevice, iid)) ||
(IsEqualGUID(&IID_IDirect3DHALDevice, iid)) ||
(IsEqualGUID(&IID_IDirect3DTnLHalDevice, iid)) ||
(IsEqualGUID(&IID_IDirect3DRefDevice, iid))) {
It may have chances to work... Report any visual corruptions you have though.
I still wonder why this game (that seems not THAT old from what I can see from
my Googling) would use such an obsolete device.

Running wine-20040505 on SuSE 9.0.
Bridge Base Online 3.7.3.
Running the installer, bbo_setup.exe gives
fixme:shell:Stream_WriteLocationInfo writing empty location info
Well that's improved: just one.
Running the main program gives the same problem as before.

Summary: Can't install from rpm (thinks libGL.so.1 is missing but
it's not)
Product: Wine
Version: 20040505
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: centaur(a)netmagic.net
Seems like something's broken here. I built the source rpm, tried to install
it, and got this:
[root@spike rpms]# rpm -ivh
/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/wine-20040505-1rh9winehq.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libGL.so.1(LIBGL) is needed by wine-20040505-1rh9winehq
[root@spike rpms]# rpm -q --whatprovides libGL.so.1
XFree86-Mesa-libGL-4.3.0-2.90.55
[root@spike rpms]# rpm -ql XFree86-Mesa-libGL-4.3.0-2.90.55 | grep libGL
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1
/usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2
/usr/lib/libGL.so.1
[root@spike rpms]# ls -l /usr/lib/libGL.so.1
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root 17 Apr 18 16:16 /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 ->
libGL.so.1.0.5336
Now I know that the library was replaced when I installed the Nvidia driver with
their own version, but it still exists, and should work... RPM even reports
that it's still provided by XFree86-Mesa-libGL. So I'm not sure how it's doing
the dependency check, but it's blowing up on me :(

They fixed alsa dmix in 20040505, however it still whines about:
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:812:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) The dmix plugin supports only
playback stream
err:wave:ALSA_WaveInit open pcm: Invalid argument
At least now it doesn't crash. (dsound area of config MUST be set)
Perhaps later on dmix can be addressed?

Actually, I guess I need to add a caveat to my claim that it works. At least
with a 2004-05-12 CVS version of Wine, it is not working right; something in the
project is getting corrupted. This is not happening with a 2003-12-12 version of
Wine, so there is also a regression somewhere.
Also, there is a problem with named pipes that makes ise run very slow on large
projects. I can tell you how to fix that particular problem on the 2003-12-12
version of Wine; I don't yet have a way to fix it on the current version of Wine.

This is fixed in version 20040505 :-)
Tested using the corresponding Debian Sid package on a 2.6.6 kernel, attach now
works the way it's supposed to. Thanks to whoever repaired it, since the ancient
Wine version I had to use just broke due to bug 1343...

Actually, there are multiple crashes, because Xilinx apparently spawns new
processes for different portions of the installation. The processes that crash
are, fortunately, not important. You should get a few error dialogs at the end
which I think are related to the crashes, but they only complain not being able
to install html links. If you click through the error dialogs, the installation
should complete, and WebPACK/ISE should work fine.
By the way, if you have not already done so, you should set the windows version
that Wine uses to one of the Win2K versions, in your ~/.wine/config file:
[Version]
"Windows" = "win2k"
Certainly it would be nice if the crashes did not occur :-)
By the way, I installed from the single file. Also, service pack 2 installs
fine, and doesn't even crash :-)
