First, you need to run it as: wine c:\\Program\ Files\\Weathersoft\\WeatherScope.exe I know it shouldn't make much difference, but it does, trust me. I have it running, but when I tried it your way, it crashed. I asked the developer about this once, and they do some magic with the command line that running it that way breaks. You also need to create the following registry key (if it doesn't already exist in your install): [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders] "AppData"="c:\\windows\\profiles\\rmay\\Application Data" AppData can be whatever you want, so long as it is a valid (ie. already created) directory.
