Turns out that CW will install if: * you have the registry key in comment #1 * you have mfc40.dll * you have mfc42.dll * you have the VB6 runtime A script to automatically download and install CW and its prerequisites is at http://kegel.com/wine/cw.sh.txt Now on to file a bug against CW proper! Try the latest cvs as patchs to fix problems like that have been committed in the last few days. During the update it crash KDE. I'm running the latest Wine CVS (updated today). Commandline is "wine VectorWorks.exe". Load the contents of both CDs into one directory. Map this directory as a virtual drive to Windows (or Wine). Install from that "drive." I wasn't running v11.5 like I thought, but rather v11. Upgrading helped a bit-- now the main window shows up (with mad artifacting) and then freezes, complaining about something called GSEmul.dll.
