Well, this issue needs more debugging still. I have to get my
hands on a copy of Office 95, going back and forth like this is
costing too much time (no offence to you Philip). I think I'll
submit this patch as is since it already fixes the Office 97 and
2000 installers.

I just reinstalled Tribes2 25034 and Defense Turret 1.15.
Now I don't get the above mentioned error anymore.
Instead I get from dt:
ERROR:VA [err=5] Access denied
And from wine:
err:virtual:NtAllocateVirtualMemory Unsupported on other process
I have tested with both ME and XP emulation mode...

I made some screenshots but I cannot upload them currently to my webspace at the
university (there are some problems). If needed I can send them per E-Mail or
upload them later when I have access to my webspace again.

Hi, do you have the same problem with Max Payne demo? That one seems to run
quite nice here (apart from some sound issues again). Maybe you could try if
it fails for you as well, because if so, it must be a problem with your
configuration i guess.

Apparently it isn't. This happens on my box:
$ WINEDEBUG="trace+reg" /usr/src/wine-cvs/wine/wine --version 2>&1| wc -l
| 111
I guess your Wine can be built with trace messages disabled. This can be done
by using apropriate ./configure param:
$ /usr/src/wine-cvs/wine/configure --help | grep -iC1 trace
| --disable-debug compile out all debugging messages
| --disable-trace compile out TRACE messages
| --enable-win64 build a Win64 emulator on AMD64 (won't run Win32
Are you sure this wasn't a case with your box, Willie?

Summary: user32.GetSubMenu() returning NULL, Sibelius crashes
after opening any file
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9
Platform: PC
URL: http://sibelius.com/download/
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: P1
Component: wine-user
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jathey(a)comcast.net
Both versions of Sibelius I have install and open fine, but they both crash
after opening any file. The demo of Sibelius 4 is freely downloadable at
http://sibelius.com/download/ , and it comes with some example files, found in
"c:\Program Files\Sibelius Software\Sibelius Demo\Example Scores". It looks
like it's crashing after user32.GetSubMenu() returns NULL.
