Eric we need more information to help.
How did you installed Wine? What packages have you installed? What distro?
Where do all the links point to?

These are the standard "*nix development" things that you should know from othre
sources. Like why do you need *-devel | *-dev packagees. You can actually read
information contained in those packages that say what they are for.
Also it is impossible to account for each distribution out there. Some have 1
package some have 10. And all called something different. And it makes no sence
to include all the possible dependancies in the user manual. Website is more
complicated to change then README files included in the source tree.
As far as requirements go, Wine tries not to make _hard_ dependancies on
libraries that might not exist on all systems.
I personally don't see anything here that needs to be fixed.
And last thing, users should not compile Wine from source but rather use
packages provided by maintainers.

I just installed it with current git. So it works for me, too. I think there are
some fixes for msi and ole regressions in current git. If you only want to test
with releases, i guess 0.9.6 will get out in a few days.

Wierd. I updated to currect cvs (just in case), wiped my C drive and .wine so
its completely fresh, redownloaded it from your link (same file - diff'ed it
to confirm), Installed (unchecking 3 boxes, as described) and still cant get
it to run.
Almost immediately on launch (no splash screen), I get an illegal instruction.
Using trace I can see it goes through various activities, and I suspect my
audio configuration is at fault although I have no idea why

Summary: List control: multi-edit selection problem in one app
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.5.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-gui
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: burnus(a)gmx.de
I have a multi-edit selection problem in a list in Origin; using Wine's regedit
(which has also a multi-select listview) this does not occure.
In Origin this is a pretty normal list (one column, no header). Under Windows a
click (w/o ctrl/shift simply selects one item; Under Wine it looks ok if you
click once. Or if you click on an item below the currently selected one.
But if you click upwards, it behaves as if you have had pressed "ctrl".
If you click then a lower item (above the lowest), it de-selects all above the
current one.
I tried WINEDEBUG=+listview, but seemingly this is not the right debug channel.
Any ideas?

This is odbccp32 issue again.
There are only two new lines introduced in the "bad" log:

Overriding ODBCCP32 to Native should suffice (as a workaround).

I just have made another blind shot, as the marlett font contains symbols needed

I don't know. You need to ask font expert. :)

Just tried the demo again. The demo now sometimes just hangs in the

General protection fault!

This is a regression as in Wine-0.9.1 it was at least able to enter the intro
video. If i have time i'll try to find what patch broke it.
