I'm getting the same error on win2k: wine: Call from 0x10320a05 to unimplemented function MSVCR80.dll._encode_pointer, aborting Only it's not running out of stack but shows up a message box. Nothing to fix here. If you could provide a +dsound trace under oss, as well as a +wave and a +dsound (separate please) under alsa, that could definately narrow this problem down.
