I just tried with latest cvs. Using native quartz.dll. I don't get the DSOUND
errors at all. But I get the same lockup, this is the output to the console.
fixme:ole:CoRegisterMessageFilter stub
err:x11drv:X11DRV_CreateWindow invalid window height -21
err:x11drv:X11DRV_CreateWindow invalid window height -21
err:listview:LISTVIEW_WindowProc unknown msg 1044 wp=00000000 lp=7fafe274
fixme:msacm:acmFormatEnumW Unsupported fdwEnum values 00100000
fixme:shell:BrsFolder_OnCreate flags 20 not implemented
fixme:shell:BrsFolderDlgProc Set selection "z:
\\home\\sheam\\backups\\MADAGASCAR"
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7da871bc "?" wait timed out in
thread 0009, blocked by 000e, retrying (60 sec)
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7da871bc "?" wait timed out in

err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7da871bc "?" wait timed out in
thread 0009, blocked by 000e, retrying (60 sec)
If I don't use the native quartz.dll, I still get the DSOUND errors.

------- Additional Comments From mike(a)codeweavers.com 2006-03-01 20:06 -------
Seems related to this:
trace:menu:RemoveMenu (menu=0x1e8 pos=0000 flags=0400)
warn:menu:MENU_GetMenu invalid menu handle=0x8d0, ptr=0x7fdad420, magic=0
warn:menu:MENU_GetMenu invalid menu handle=0x914, ptr=0x7fdad464, magic=0
The above trace means that RemoveMenu is failing, which is why you're ending up
with many menu items.
Looks like it's crashing at dlls/user/menu.c # 2011 at the line, as submenu is
probably NULL due to the above bug, but it's not checked.
submenu = MENU_GetMenu( hsubmenu );

The Poser 6.0 demo dies with the same X error, so this regression seems to
affect applications with embedded OpenGL viewports. Tried again with Wine CVS
from today, the regression's still there...
