Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: wine-setupapi AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: jeg(a)france-online.org When installing Wine from sources under Kubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft, either by ;/tools/wineinstall or by ./configure && make depend && make && make install, doesn't work : when running winecfg for the first time to build the environment and configure it, a "segmentation error" ("erreur de segmentation" in my french enviromnent) appears, without other indications. All the recommended packages have been successfully installed, and verified vith ./configure --verbose. No error messages have been seen during the ./configure, make depend and make commands. I am under a newly installed Kubuntu Edy Eft, with no major changes made on it. This misbehavior doesn't happen at startup, you have to leave or enter any directory at least once. This bug was introduced around Wine version 0.9.12. Whether I run winecfg directly through winedbg, or run winedbg from a separate terminal after running winecfg, I can't get a proper backtrace.
