I think the problem has something to do with sub-menus in finale's menus. It's strange, but the problem is only with the page layout tool. TEXT_LIMIT_DEFAULT is the default limit to the amount of text in the buffer, but the program can increase it. So the question is, is the default limit wrong, or is the program trying to change it and the request being ignored for some reason?
