Summary: winex11.drv opengl initialization crashes on macos
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: Macintosh
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.2
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-x11driver
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: stefandoesinger(a)gmx.at
The registering of the nv vertex array range extension on macos causes the X11 driver to crash. This
prevents all apps from working. Everything works perfectly if I comment out the call to register_extension
(&WGL_NV_vertex_array_range); in dlls/winex11.drv/opengl.c, line 2979.

The second (improved) patch fixes the bug indeed. The affected DirectX Samples
now start just fine. Nice job!

This has been fixed in the newest version of wine. Well, at least it has for
me. Is anyone else still experiencing this problem?

Did you check if it works in Windows ? I think that in Windows the icon to
UBSPay sets the current working directory to c:\Program Files\UBS e-banking\UBSPay.
I recall it works too in Wine if you CD to this directory first.

The same kind of path problems happen with Paymaker from the same company.

I don't think so, the problem is still there in version 0.9.27 and 0.9.28. But
the problem got worse in the later version. Now the game is totally unplayable.
In version 0.9.27 the mouse wouldn't respond smoothly and it felt like it got
stuck in all the hexes on the movement grid. You could play by compensating with
keyboard scrolling so that you wouldn't go mad. But in in 0.9.28 the mouse stops
responding for 1-2 sec, then it moves to another spot, and then stops for 1-2
sec etc. It's ALOT worse.
But as was it explained in this report, the problem only happens when you move
around in-game. Not when you use your mouse over the interface or navigate in
the menus. When you do that the mouse is 100% smooth.
So please re-open this bug, this really needs to get fixed.
