Wine has its own version of MSI. You should not need to be using the Microsoft
version. Wine 9.1 is not really current but I see from the download section that
this is the most current package that is available for Solarus. Perhaps you can
compile it yourself.
see:
http://www.blastwave.org/wine/winemaking.html or
http://wiki.jswindle.com/index.php/Installing_Wine#Solaris
You could also contact Robert Lunnon solaris.wine(a)optusnet.com.au the author of
the Solarus packages and see if he is willing to update them.

A second "LocalFree()" on a memory-handle corrupt our Heap, but is detected and
handled graceful in windows.
(I need to move this Part of my tests to "dlls/kernel/tests/heap.c")
Your source is similar to the relevant code from NoteXpad, but you use
LocalReAlloc() after EM_SETHANDLE.
> when handling the EM_SETHANDLE message the current code frees the old memory
This is not the case according to a simple test. (we free the internal UNICODE
copy of the ANSI-Data)
I need to learn more about the internal behavior of the edit-control first.

Summary: Sketchup uses OpenGL, many visual problems
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.9.
Platform: Other
URL: http://sketchup.com
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
I tested Sketchup on wine from cvs.
It was upset that my X was set to a 16 bit screen depth,
and complained it couldn't initialize OpenGL,
so I set it to 32 bits, and it was happier.
However, the 3d output overlaps the 2d widgets,
making the app semiunusable. That part
is a dup of bug 2398.
There are other visual artifacts, too;
the 2d widgets are all white. The console
shows the following output:
fixme:ole:CoRegisterMessageFilter stub
fixme:ole:ITypeInfo_fnRelease destroy child objects
fixme:wintab32:WTInfoW (0, 0, (nil)): stub
fixme:opengl:wglChoosePixelFormatARB unused pfAttribFList
fixme:opengl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2007 WGL Attribute
fixme:opengl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2029 WGL Attribute
fixme:opengl:wglGetPixelFormatAttribivARB unsupported 2007 WGL Attribute
fixme:cursor:create_cursor Currently no support for cursors with 32 bits per pixel

I didnt try in a previous release, I installed it because my two sons wanted to
try a online game against each other - and their windows installation has no
network. I will see what older versions I find on other SuSE installs...but that
has to wait until next week

Summary: Bogus error loading file in SketchUp
Product: Wine

Component: wine-msi

I installed Sketchup and ran sketchup.exe.
It put up its main window, then a popup saying
Error Loading File examples.rb
No space left on device -
C:\Program Files\@Last Software\SketchUp 5\Plugins/examples.rb
This is odd because there are 600MB left on that drive,
and gigabytes left on /.
Running with +files shows that the app tries to read
a bunch of blocks from that file, then writes one block.
Who knows why. I'll try to dig more later.

If you are doing regression testing you should be using either CVS or GIT not
the packages. There are tarballs of wine source going back to 0.9 which you can
compile yourself as well if you want to.
http://ibiblio.org/pub/linux/system/emulators/wine/
However that is unnessary since I can confirm that the patch that Louis found is
indeed the one that causes the message to appear.
--
As a side question were you able to actually run the game in a previous release.
I have tested it as far back as Wine 0.9.0 and it brings up the main menu but I
am unable to actually start a game.
