Hi Tytus, i tried the app as well and it indeed crashes. Just before the crash i
see:
0012:Call kernel32.GetVersion() ret=7d8e15b7
0012:Ret kernel32.GetVersion() retval=c0000a04 ret=7d8e15b7
trace:seh:raise_exception code=c0000005 flags=0 addr=0x7d8e1470
and then the crash.
retval=c0000a04 means win98, if i change that into 0x08930005 (win2000) in
GetVersion the crash is gone, but the app stops somewhere in updating Gameguard,
whatever that may be. I just think the application cannot run on windows98, so
needs at least win2000, and then it's just a duplicate of bug 3947. Do you , by
any chance, know if this is a "win 2000, or higher"-only game?

I have this issue if a game runs fullscreen and I have disabled the "Allow
Window Manager to control applications" or whatever the option is. Try enabling
that and see if it works.

No, you can leave this bug open as it seems to be a different bug you're walking
in. What happens with the default win2000?

Summary: Virtual Felix (animated cat) causes high CPU-load and
flicker of taskbar
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.9.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: winehq(a)richardneill.org
Virtul Felix is a (free) animated cat for Windows and Mac, designed to play
around on your screen. He is a bit like Neko (from the KDE-toys Amor package) in
this respect. However, when activated, as he walks over the taskbar, it causes
repeated refreshes of the taskbar beneath, causing the taskbar and Felix to
flicker, and using 100% of the CPU.
Felix2.exe may be dowloaded for free from here:
http://www.catslikefelix.co.uk/index.asp
You have to register, log in, and then click "Get Your own Felix".
I know that this application is hardly a high priority, but I do know of a
certain cat lover who would be very well disposed to penguins if it could be
fixed. Thank you!

I can confirm that commenting out the line virtual.c allows the program to start
I can move around in all the the other screens but I cannot play a game. I get
the following error message
"allgemeine Exception aufgetreten das programm muss beendet werden"
English translation:
"general exception arisen the program must be terminated "

Cancel this, it has no sense, since patched/unpatched 2005-x-x versions differ
only in that minimal change in module.c, thus all other builtins are equal.
It seems uxtheme.dll could be involved after all.
What now?
