> What it means is that you need fontforge installed.
Note that that bug was:
| Wine download page does not mention package which populates this directory.
If fontforge is that package which populates this directory, then this bug
is exactly that http://www.winehq.org/site/download does not give it.
Note that this bug was agaits on winehq.COM -- not wine !!!

I believe it is mostly doing it with games that have already started. I don't
know if there is any relation to a firewall.
The calls to select with timeout are probably correct, and sitting here watching
it, it keeps going. I did a packet capture on joining an invalid game. I do see
SYN packets going out to the probable host (comcast?). Nothing is coming back.

i have submitted a patch.
I personally recommend not to use arts or esound for WINE, just
ALSA is fine.

This bug report has two problems:
1) You didn't specify which software you were trying to run, so it's not
reproducable.
2) You build Wine either without FontForge or Freetype present, so bitmap fonts
were not build, thus the ReadFontDir errors.
setupapi.dll.RegistryDelnode is not implemented, and that is a real problem, but
it would be nice to know which software is trying to use it.

Seems like it would be better to use the full name of the month, like
4 April 2006

Tested with 0.9.11 and the bug is still there. Luckily the temporary riched20
hotfix also still works.

Boot with kernel parameter "elevator" set to "anticipatory", "cfq", "deadline",
or "noop". CFQ is supposed to distribute fairly to processes on a desktop
system so try that one.
Also, the game has an explicit windowed setting "-w". Try starting the game with
that and see if it helps any.

It's not an enchancement. It is indeed a bug, because half the world (see the
bug URL) uses the DD-MM-YYYY order.

Summary: Date format switch
Product: WineHQ.com
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_format
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: misc-web
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: rvalles(a)es.gnu.org
Reading many WWN at once, I got confused, got to think I was reading an older
WWN than I was, then realized I was not, it was the date format. In some
countries, like mine (Spain), MM-DD-YYYY is used. In some others, DD-MM-YYYY is
used instead. To avoid confusion, I suggest the use of ISO 8601,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601 describes it.
