I have the same crash in wininet caused by a different application. The attached
ugly hack with memory leaks fixed the bug for me.

My age (only 63) is telling on me. I am recovering from a few days away.
qgit shows only the good bisections. According to the log I sent in, the last
bad commit is [9985c42150582c07038ece79a0a874bef8379d9b] wingdi: Fix typo in
definition of BLTALIGNMENT (spotted by Choe Hwanjin). This one doesn't appear in
the output of "git whatchanged". Do you want the very first commit listed in
"git whatchanged"?
I have a listing of each bisection except the last. If necessary I will import
these in turn without compiling in between.

Can't get fixes, 'cause its a soundcard driver problem and not wines fault.

It's already been fixed. Run winecfg and set locations as you'd like. Or remove
~/.wine and let it create default links.

Ok just making sure it's not related to a "widescreen" resolution bug in the game.

Can't be a dupe of bug 5691 because this game appears that it doesn't use dinput
at all.
I don't think it's related to anything to do with input because I can reproduce
a lockup on the load game menu without moving the mouse at all. Don't think wine
can't keep up with drawing, but there might be a race condition.
