I'm using Wine-0.9.19. I'm getting this error message trying to install Half
Life 2.
Tested Nexus - The Jupiter Incident as well. Still getting the cabinet errors.

Ok I couldn't actually test my patch with this app because it wants me to
install mfc42.dll to do it. I'll do it and try to fix the colors soon.

In that context 00000800 is DDBLT_DDFX .
TRACE("(%p)->(%p,%p,%p,%lx,%p)\n", This, DestRect, Src, SrcRect, Flags, DDBltFx);
trace:d3d_surface:IWineGDISurfaceImpl_Blt
(0x1be528)->((nil),(nil),(nil),1000c00,0x33fcd4)
So it seems for Src=NULL (and DestRect=NULL) we don't handle DDFX, but i'm not
sure that is the source of that corruption.

Test out on PAF 5.2.18, using the latest wine-git (0.9.19) - which includes a
version of that patch.
It dosn't crash.
However, it was really hard to test - about 50% of the text in that program was
missing (I'd get dialog boxes with no text and three blank buttons to choose
from, etc). Did you get that? You might want to file another bug for that one.
