install output - last good
Guild Wars fails to install in Wine 0.9.47. After I choose the installation
directory it downloads something (says Downloading and the progress bar goes
all to the end), but than it just closes. Normally it would go on to download
something much bigger (where the number of files and speed is shown). It works
with Wine 0.9.46. Also, updating fails with the game already installed, but it
works if the game is already up to date.
Git bisect says:
server: Add primitive support for setting and getting the security descriptor
of files based on their Unix permissions.

Summary: Chicken Invaders 3: "hickups"

Hi,
When I play "Chicken Invaders 3" in 0.9.45, the screen "locks" up. I mean, the
computer seems to stop responding for like half a second, and then works again.
When I revert to 0.9.44, it's working flawlessly (without restarting the
computer or closing any programs). Going back to 0.9.45 I get the hickups
again.
Using the Debian .deb file.
Greetings

Summary: Spurious transparent body parts in everquest 2 -- may be

Transparent areas on fabric, skin and other flat surfaces OK. Yes, this is a
Frostfell special outfit from the Christmas event area, but it happens on many
other fabric surfaces too.
Almost all non-flat body parts tend to have transparent areas. Since the
structures are similar to "folds" in the fabric or texture, it may be that
these are from a bump map that is erroneously interpreted as transparency map.
The described effect occurs both with and without complex shaders. Screenshot
is with complex shaders enabled.

German WINE manpage v.0.1a
I have created a German translation of the Wine(1) man page.
Before you can use it, you should replace the UE/OE/AE with the German umlauts,
my system didn't allow me :(
If you are satisfied with this translation, I'll be happy to translate more
Wine stuff.

Summary: Window movement graphics trashing in virtual desktop
mode
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.49.
Platform: PC

Hi,
Since approximately Wine 0.9.47, there is a problem with window movement when
using Wine in "virtual deaktop" mode.
After moving windows around, "trash" is left in the desktop window from the
highlighted borders.
To demonstrate this, use winecfg to enable virtual desktop mode, then run
wine winhelp
and move the winhelp window around several times and observe the graphics
problem.
I'm using a 32-bit x86 PC running Ubuntu 7.10, with Wine 0.9.49 from
winehq.com.

Summary: tablet pressure sensibility problem

Version: 0.9.52.

this Xorg configuration works well with Gimp
Hello,
I'd like to inform you about a problem concerning the pressure sensibility of
my tablet.
I assigned this message to "wine-x11driver" without knowing if it's correct.
(you can reassign it)
This pressure sensibility used to work with older versions of wine, it's a kind
of regression.
I use Wine to run ArtRage since a few months, but since
my last Linux upgrade (Xorg + Wine upgrades), ONLY WINE does not recognize
my Wacom tablet anymore, contrary to other Linux programs.
Indeed, since then, I had to activate the "extended Input Devices" in
software like "Gimp", to make it work.
At least, as it works really well with "The Gimp", one can assume that
my xorg configuration is correct.
I hope there might be a way to activate the "inputDevice" in Wine, in the same
way as in "Gimp".
I really want to use my tablet again with Wine.
System details:
Linux Ubuntu 7.10 (Kernel 2.6.22-14 + Xorg 1.3)
Wine from version 0.9.46 to 0.9.52 (same problem for each version)
Tablet WACOM Graphire4 A6
I attach my Xorg.conf file to this message, to let you see that it's well
configured.
