Summary: World of Warcraft loses sound and refuses to relinquish
focus after being alt+tabbed
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.43.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor

Component: wine-binary

I've tried seting winecfg to use ALSA alone, and tried it with using OSS (using
ALSA-OSS emulation).
1. When using ALSA, sound works fine, but when I alt+tab out, sound is lost.
And when I alt+tab out of World of Warcraft, it refuses to give up the focus
and let me switch to another window.
2. When using OSS, sound doesn't work at all.
3. When using wine 0.9.41, WoW works perfectly, and can alt+tab perfectly fine

On Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1, I can't test the sound. This was
working fine in 0.9.50, but no longer works in 0.9.50. This is with the OSS
driver.
There was no specific information regarding the error. It just pops up a box
saying that it cannot play the sound.
I have reverted back to 0.9.49 since there are other issues as well ( I can't
install apps I used to be able to install ).

Summary: Guild Wars: Directional character shadows are not
rendered.
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.51.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P4
Component: wine-directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: hoppq(a)mbnet.fi
Under Wine, Guild Wars does not render directional shadows for characters (or
renders them incorrectly so they are not seen at all, to the end user it's the
same). In Guild Wars, drawing of shadows is controlled by "Shadow quality"
setting in Graphics options, "Medium" should render a directional shadow for
the player's character, "High" should render them for all nearby
characters/NPCs.
As a side note: Cedega (version 6.0.3) does not render them either by default,
but Cedega provides an option in its settings called "Fragment Offset" (the
tooltip for it reads: "Apply fragment translation in vertex program"), setting
it to "Tex" makes Cedega render shadows correctly.
This is on Nvidia driver version 1.0-9639, 7600GS card. In the past the
behavior was the same on newer driver versions as well, I happen to run that
version due to it being packaged by Mandriva and it's lacking the bugs of 100.x
and newer series.
