Looking through a +relay,+msi,+msidb log, there's not enough evidence to think
that this bug is in msi.

Copied from appdb for ease:
The installer finishes installing disk 1 and waits for disk 2. Use wine eject to
eject CD 1 and mount CD 2 with the -t iso9660 -o norock options and the
installer continues on. CD 3 can be mounted in the same manner.
Marking as invalid.

BTW James has volunteered to fix this once his internship starts,
so the cavalry is coming.

Ubuntu and other distros do actually hook up the
eject button to work properly lately, I think.
The next step would be for them to do what 'wine eject'
does when appropriate. Now that would be slick integration.

Er sorry, ignore the comment about them "flashing up depending on the angle",
that's for another bug which I was posting at the same time.

Summary: FarCry has large flashing black blocks as shadows
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.36.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-opengl
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ben(a)atomnet.co.uk
It seems like where a shadow should be is replaced by large black strips that
reach into the distance or wherever the shadow started then continue on
indefinitely. These appear and disappear depending on where you look and the
angle you look at things.

Just a note, this message box requesting the next disk is not generated by msi's
file installation code. I'm trying to figure out where it's coming from and why.

Summary: FarCry objects turn invisible at random
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.36.
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-opengl
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ben(a)atomnet.co.uk
Objects in FarCry (patched to 1.4 using the OpenGL renderer) turn invisible at
random and may turn back at some other point. This includes people, weapons,
parts of people and a few other random things. Keep in mind this is different
from the existing "FarCry textures are screwy" in that this isn't textures and
these flash up depending on the angle you look at things.

Sorry to spam like this. I just learned that my crash is not Wine-related at
all. Please disregard my previous post about it.

error massagebox
Actually, there isn't any console output before this messagebox pops up. After
clicking "OK" butoon, it spits out a few msi-fixme's so maybe it's still a msi
bug

I get a different error, i'll attach the log hereafter. However, if you just
unzip the executable, there is a directory "program files" extracted, with all
the files in it, from which you can just run the game.
