"A Wine based GIMP plugin for using Photoshop plugins"
Suggested by Marcus Meissner: Investigate if we could make a WINE based GIMP
plugin which can handle Photoshop plugins.
PSPI - Photoshop Plug in
http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/pspi.html
Works on Windows and more recently Linux using some kind of Wine based
technologies.
It seems the project has already been completed and the project could be taken
down from the Wine Website.
[Incidentally what I was really looking for was a place to download windows
binaries for things like WineMine and other Wine Apps to see if maybe I could
mess around with/test them and find something useful to do even at times while I
am stuck using windows. Sure there are many alternatives for these applicatiosn
but they are also used by ReactOS so I think I might find something of interest.
I have a strange feeling like I've done this before but I cannot find what I'm
looking for at all.]

This issue is gnoe with wine 0.9.34 (maybe 0.9.33 as well, did skip that version).
With wine 0.9.34, Word Viewer 2003 installs cleanly, without any error message
and without the need for the above workaround.

as a quick work around, you can just remove the ttf-tamil-fonts package and Wine
will pick a better font.

It looks like EnumFontFamiliesEx() is trying to pick a suitable font. The
difference between the two systems here is the order the fonts are listed. On
the working system, EnumFontFamiliesEx finds the Verdana font as the first
suitable font and uses that. On the non-working system, it finds "TAMu_Kalyani"
first.

When trying to reassign the key/mouse bindings (Player => Controls) the program
seems to hang. When you click around in the window a bit it seems to register a
mouse click after a while. If you click a control again it just shows "Key OK".
The only error is:
fixme:win:WIN_CreateWindowEx Parent is HWND_MESSAGE
... everytime you click on one of the control buttons.
Not sure if this is a problem.
It seems Soldat uses SetWindowsHookEx to hook into WH_KEYBOARD_LL and
WH_MOUSE_LL. However, no messages seem to be generated. Also when not using
desktop mode the keyboard focus stays at the terminal while soldat waits for a
key press. So this could be a focus-related problem.

Works fine here.
If you compiled wine yourself, do you have fontforge installed? If not, what
Linux distro are you running? Do you have any Truetype fonts installed? Can you
attach a screenshot to show the problem?

FYI, this can be observed without the need for a Guild Wars account. Just
download and install the game from here to see the issue:

I realize now my attached log was pretty minimal. I can provide more if
requested. Thanks!

Wine output when running Guild Wars
I get the same results, though with different output from wine. My output is
attached. There was a new build of Guild Wars released yesterday (April 6,
2007). As soon as that new version was installed, Guild Wars would not launch.
I tried reinstalling GW, with no luck.

While running PAF in Wine, the default font is unreadable. In Windows the default font is readable. There
are fonts that can be installed to resolve this issue, but I would like to see this bug fixed in Wine so that
PAF can be installed and run out of the box, bringing it much closer to a Platinum rating.

I tried installing Baldur's Gate 2 with wine-0.9.34-g19eae65 and I no longer get
the error. Can someone confirm with one of the other affected games and mark
this bug as fixed?
The BG2 installer finished disk 1, and then immediately asked for disks 2, 3, 4,
and 5, which is where I had to stop the installer because there is no disk 5.

Thank you for your clarification. I suspected that this might not be the bug that I encountered in PAF. I will
search for the correct bug and if I don't find anything I will submit a new bug.
