Summary: Bug in findfirst/findnext
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: us(a)edmeades.me.uk
FindFirst fails to honour '*.', and insteads treats it as a match for all files
Run test pgm on windows vs linux on a directory containing a mixture of files
with extensions and those without. Windows just lists those without, wine
shows all of them.
When my next set of cmd.exe patchs get in, it will also be visible by
typing 'dir *.'

I'm not sure if that's legal. Unfortunately, the file is bigger than 1.4M packed
and thus rejected by bugzilla. Anyhow, here's a link to it:

Yeah, I mean the fixme:d3d:IWineD3DImpl_FillGLCaps >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 0x501
messages.
/usr/include/GL/gl.h says 0x501 is GL_INVALID_VALUE, which can mean different
things depending on the failing call.
I tried the Multiplayer Demo, when I find some free minutes I'll download the
Resistance demo. But yet the log you sent looks perfectly fine. Unfortunately
I can't provide you with a gl app that definitly shows the same bug, since
most likely other parameters are involved too and I can't predict which.
Whenever I have some time I'll try some games on my university's terminals,
they have Intel cards and since a few weeks 3D acceleration enabled. But ETA
on that either :-(

Of course, the problem from BUG 3818 still persists. Lots
of "err:ddraw:IDirectDrawSurfaceImpl_GetSurfaceDesc Impossible/Strange struct
size 0." are output. I am using 0.9.34 on Gentoo/Linux.

Please attach a +msi log.
"All the errors when the RF start the instalation in correct directory
(c:\programfiles\RF Online, for example)."
Can you rephrase that better? I can't understand what you're trying to say.

I've seen this happen when running a vpn client, with no connection to the
remote network. Well, at least I think it's something similar.
A strace log would be helpful, as well as your /etc/nsswitch settings.

Maybe "strace wine winecfg" would reveal some interesting things (the syscalls
that lag)?

Simon, how big is the file GK3.exe itself? Maybe it is good idea to attach it
to the bugreport so Alexandre can fix a bug using real thing.
