Problem appeared inside a CentOS virtual machine running Wine 0.9.x (specific version unknown), and was confirmed in Fedora Core 6 running Wine 0.9.34 in a real machine. I was informed of this problem just today, and I will try to look into it in my spare time. However, I know very little about MSI, other than it seems to use SQL for queries into installation data. One of the errors received is the following. err:ddraw:PixelFormat_DD2WineD3D Invalid dwRGBBitCount in Pixelformat struct Steps to repro: 1: Using regedit, set DirectDrawRenderer to 'opengl' 2: Install and launch 3dmark 2000 3: Click on the "demo" 4: The screen will flicker as if the application is resizing the screen, and return to the application menu. This patch is the same opengl child window patch as before but with a change to allow the NWN model viewer to work. I don't know whether it is fully correct. I have seen Lionel do something similar and need to talk to him about it. The crash is due to wine msxml deficencies.
