I can see the login window. The menus have the text scambled. If I type in the

A rough translation would be:
"Hi folks,
we're using Suse 10.2 and wine for a windows-based emulation program. It
generally worked without flaws. Support for German umlauts was a problem up
until version 0.9.27, version 0.9.35 fixed this. However, now the serial port
support is broken in 0.9.35, while it worked without any problems in 0.9.27. I
downgraded, of course. Is that a known problem or is there any configuration
options I need to change?
Greetings .. etc"
that being said, I'm surprised that Umlauts were broken before, and I have no
idea about the serial port stuff.

All launchers for particular windows program go to lost and found folder in KDE

Desktop icons seems to build correctly.
Maybe this is caused by changes to the way menu items are created.

Hallo Zusammen,

The solution is simple: do not run user32 tests in a virtual desktop.
Personally I consider that configuration broken.
I'm not planning to do any work to make the tests pass under that config.

There are quite some failures in the user32 msg test, while running it under
wine with virtual desktop feature (didn't test it without) while not touching
the mouse and the keyboard (at least mouse movement produces more failures).
Someone else reproduced a similar failure count.

I tried attaching the results of running the game with WINEDEBUG=+relay wine
"c:\Program Files\Atari\Locomotion\Loco.exe" but apparently it's too large
(1.6M!). Is there another way I can make a log that won't be so large?

Locomotion installs fine, but when you try to run it it loads something, then
fails with the message "Unable to initilitize graphics system". This happens
with the initial 1.0 version or with the 1.76 patch applied. I'm using a nocd
patch in both cases due to bug 7065. (I don't know that the bug is in direct
draw, I'm just guessing)

OK, my bad. I got the patch installed. Terragen 2 is still demonstrating the
same issues. What steps did you take to get the patch working for TG2?

that python didn't install cleanly. But for me,
Python 2.5.1 from python.org installed fine.
Pyscripter, on the other hand, crashes both on entry (but lets you
continue) and on exit. The crash on exit appears to be related
to drag and drop. It's a wild pointer access. Here's wine's stack:

I'm not sure what you changed in Xorg config. I was talking about Wine's
registry: http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys
Confirming - fails here the same way. It seems that the getPixelColor doesn't
return correct result. Since it says it is 0 while colors do change.
