It helps to read what Wine trying to tell you:
err:wave:DSDB_MapBuffer Please run winecfg, open "Audio" page and set "Hardware
Acceleration" to "Emulation".

Try enabling "Virtual desktop" in winecfg and try again. If input goes into
terminal, then that is what the real problem is.

Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded.
Make sure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly.

Summary: date format differs from Windows
Product: Wine
Version: CVS
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-kernel
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: rmh(a)aybabtu.com
Attached program prints date in a different format on wine than on Windows.
On Windows XP, it prints:
12/31/69 16:00:00
On wine, it prints:
Thu Jan 1 02:00:00 1970
This breaks win32 applications that make incorrect assumptions about the offsets
in a string that contains dates.

I searched, but I'm pretty sure this patch hasn't been committed yet. You can't
mark a bug as fixed (fixed is correct, not worksforme) until the patch is committed.

I recompiled 0.9.34 from source with the mentioned patch applied and was not
able to reproduce the crash. So, it seems to work for me. Thanks!

So this bug only happens when you choose a custom installation directory, not
the directory provided by the installer?

(c:\Program Files\RF Online, for example)." it does not start the copy the
files for the correct folder.

Should all work now - resolving as fixed, but any problems just shout.
Post install, I'd suggest typing in (wines) cmd.exe "ftype .pl=Perl" to avoid
the bug in the installer I reference.

A workaround for this seems to be the -dsound flag. I just tried it and it
works for me. I didn't discover this myself, but read it in a comment in the AppDB.
