I just tested wine 0.9.53 and the installer for JRE 1.5.0_14 still hangs at
"Publishing product information" because of this bug.

I tried to narrow down this bug a bit more. What happens is this: EGP creates
a monochrome bitmap, creates a compatible dc and selects the bitmap into that
dc as well as a bold Arial font. It then draws some text on the dc and
retrieves the bits with GetDIBits. This is where native and Wine diverge, as
can be seen by dumping the bits. In fact, there already is a Wine test for
GetDIBits on a 1 bit bitmap, which is marked todo_wine.

Dennis, please post in Bugzilla rather than replying to wine-bugs. Email read:
"Hi,
It is indeed an old program. I just tested with the last wine version
(wine-0.9.53) and didn't get the null pointer anymore. The installation
still fails, it hangs at the end, see below.
Kind regards,
Dennis Bijwaard"

I tried again with wine 0.9.53 on Debian and the bug has reappeared. The
behaviour is now the same as described in comment 5. Reopening.
