Do not use IEs4Linux. It is not supported here (it makes use of _a lot_ of
native dll's.
Please remove ~/.wine, reinstall and retest.

Summary: Age of Wonders 2 demo doesn't hide X cursor correctly
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.50.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: trivial
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: sharparrow1(a)yahoo.com
(Demo available at http://www.triumphstudios.com/ageofwonders2/files.html; it
installs quite painlessly.)
Pretty straightfoward problem: using the default configuration, the scepter
cursor draws almost flawlessly, but it doesn't hide the X cursor, so the
scepter gets drawn under the X cursor.
This is probably a duplicate of something, but I can't find anything obvious
with a simple Bugzilla search.
I'm using Wine 0.9.50 on Ubuntu 7.10.

I don't use wine anymore, but WWN 310 described how to theme wine, and it still
involved editing a wine-specific file instead of using X resources.

Summary: wine-0.9.53 fails to build on Slackware 11.0
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.53.
Platform: PC

wine-0.9.52 also fails to build.
wine-0.9.53 is being built in a clean Slackware-11.0 chroot jail (no previous
build of wine is installed).
The build fails with the following error:
fontforge -script ../fonts/genttf.ff courier.sfd courier.ttf
Copyright (c) 2000-2007 by George Williams.
Executable based on sources from 20:20 GMT 10-Dec-2007.

If I set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point into the source tree before running the build
it succeeds, i.e. if I do
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/packager/workspace/wine-0.9.53/libs/wine
before building, the build succeeds.
This was not necessary with previous versions of wine (up to and including
wine-0.9.49).

Vcrun6 is needed to run. Error seems to be:

Native comctl32 doesn't help. I'll attach a +relay,+comctl32 log in a moment.

I don't see any need for 'nastiness' at all. I don't use BIDI so I have no
idea what's required. A good bug report has steps required to reproduce the
bug. It doesn't seem like you're going to fix the bug, so someone who chooses
to fix the bug needs these steps. If it's as simple as 'Set language to X,
then run notepad and observe the menus' then just say that. "Yes it's still a
problem" isn't that difficult either.
